New KILA SIX Detents - Lots of Pictures

So, I was lucky enough to be the recipient of the generosity of KILA, and recieved these detents for my Shocker, for being the #6 post in a recent thread.

I've always been curious about these, so I was stoked to finally have the chance to see and use them first hand. The packaging is rad, and they seem top notch quality.

I noticed, that without the outer magnets installed, they are a lot less resistant that the NDZ detents. With them, they are about the same. Also, I noticed that the vision side detent, does not go into the breech very far. It seems as if a paintball will still hit it, so it's not like it doesn't stick out at all, but it's definitely a bit less than the NDZ detents. Also, the detents are the same size, except the vision side has an oring around it, to keep it from protruding too far into the breech, unlike NDZ detents, and most others, which are actually different sizes.

I'll give these the run through on saturday, and will post on how they perform.

Thanks for looking, and thanks to KILA.

Onto the Pictures:

What came in the box (not the shocker...) It came with 2 stickers, the detents, and these 2 rubbery things, which I have no idea what they are.

The Detents nicely packaged. My girl thought I had bought her jewelry when they arrived

More Detents:

Weird tube-y things.

What the hell are these? Am I completely stupid in not knowing? I thought they may have been shrink wrap or something, but after taking a lighter to one, it doesn't seem like it...

Here's one in pieces:

And another view: These things have magnets that stick to the outside of them, offering more "resistance" to the detent. The outer magnets are held in place, only by their magnetic-ness. The little inner white piston, has 2 small magnets in it also. The piston is held in with a small oring.

Installed without outer magnet:

Installed with outer magnet:

How far they stick out:

Ah, I thought so. That's the only thing I could come up with. I'll give them some more heat, and see if they work.

Dare I say it of risk to be flamed hehe...

But I really dont like them simply for the idea of the extra magnet that just sticks to the out side via its own magnetic force. YEah I know you can pick those magnets up cheap at radio shack.. But still one shot on the side of your gun and bammo there gone.

So killa still selling the old style? hehe

Yeah, I know what you mean. They do definitely stick on there quite firmly, but I would imagine, a well placed shot, could knock them off.

I think it's a great idea, for a simple way to adjust them, but unless testing has been done (which it very well may have) I think it should be looked into further.

So KILA, have you guys checked this out at all?

Yeah, Kila detents have always been hella expensive, which is why I would never buy them. They can't "blow out" which is great, but I'd still rather just pay the $20, and get normal ones.

But, as was said, I didn't pay for these.
