vice grip(duct tape the feedneck and vice grip, or else your feedneck will get nicks). or blow dryer. blow dry the area so you can easily remove it. that loctite holds it good.

You have to get someone holding the grip on the feedneck, and someone pushing the gun the correct way so the feedneck will thread outwards. Heat blowdry works well without damage.

Heat it up with a hot blowdryer and twist it off with a vise or a strap wrench. You might want to put a cloth around it if you are using a vise, unless your vise has interchangable rubber teeth like mine.

I was able to take mine off with my hands after I heated it up, just be sure to unscrew it counter-clockwise so you don't strip the threads...

Just checked, and the answer is also in the ultimate sticky.

you know it's funny that i read these on a somewhat regular basis...

i just got my new Ion today and i was prepared for the worse. but just to see, i twisted the neck with my hand and to my surprise the red loc-tite broke loose and i was able to install my CCM neck w/o a problem. just had to clean out the loc-tite that was sitting in the threads and in the chamber. it took a whole 30 seconds or less.

Yeah thats why I put it in the FAQ at the top of the forum but some people choose not to look at that thing...

Well the thing I find most amazing
In amazing grace
Is the chance to give it out
Maybe that's what love is all about
