Arrow SFL EMAG need quick help

i'm in the process of working a deal to trade for an sfl-emag, i just have some quick questions....
do they use cocker threaded barrels?
is grip frame the same as emag extreme? or is this unchanged with all emags?
what if any are the differences between the sfl and the new extreme?
yes i know the sfl is very rare, and it does have level 10 upgrade installed.
will i be missing any cool features by not getting an extreme? cool meaning useful!
thank you

sorry, just found another thread that answered most questions for me.
however, i read something about an aluminum valve? what's the diff between that and the old one? sorry i do not know much about mags/emags and this trade is very important, so i do not have the time to search the archives for hours.
thank you for your help

The aluminum X-Valve is the replacement for the RetroValve. It is lighter... otherwise the same thing.

The Extreems have a little switch while the SFL's have the key. The jey never bothers me because I have it looped on my gas line. Just pull it and let it hang there. Some people are rigging up little switches of their own for e-mags and SFL's and I may give it a shot when I have some time to kill.

I prefer the SFL miling over the Extreem milling myself, and since they're not going to be making anymore SFL's with that milling scheme the ones out now will be a bit more rare. If it's in good shape I'd snag it.

thx, i saw pics of your sfl... very nice. this one looks in good shape plus the guys is local so i can see it first. i'm trading a dark ir3. somewhat close in value, plus the emag has the lev 10 mod. is the xvalve a big deal or like a couple ounces?
i've held an original emag and it was a bit heavy, especially compared to my timmy, but i hear the sfl's are light. i will have to check it out.
my other option is an adrenalin impulse... what do you guys think

The X-valve shaves off 3 ounces. Not a whole lot, really. If it's that important to you , X-valves wil be available for purchase down the road. The SFL is much, much lighter that a regular e-mag.

I would take an SFL over any Impulse any day. The mag will be much lower and in my opinion, more reliable, having seen a number of them go down locally.

The extrme mags or sfls are 2.7 pounds or teh same as a angel now so they are nice and light. THey have level 10 but u have to adjust it once and a while but its not biggy alot easier than any cocker. I would also take a mag over a impy my opinion though. Here just take this for example with your level 10 set right you can stick a hellfire in your breach and pull teh trigger 10 times it just bounces hehe i was afraid to do it it more but i keep doing to make my friend mad my mag pinches better then his cocker

well i got a trade offer... my dark ir3 for an sfl emag. the only thing i like the dark for is 3-5 man games on smaller type fields. the space frame is super-comfy for tight spots, but other than that i don't find it useful on ten man fields. i do play back and no matter what other people say, i can't shoot long, flat with the dark
