Reducing breaks in an omen

As titled people, i'm finding my omen can be harsh on paint especialy in the cold. I have upgraded the cam arms to 1.5 but using a forcefeed will still be hard on paint. The bounce pad in the gun is intact, i'm using a 0.692 UL so barrel bore is fine and i always re adjust the recock. Any thing else that can be done?

ive found that premiums are the best paint for a stock omen(mines a 2.0)Other than that the recock could be to high, but you already said that you adjust it. So if the paint idea helps good luck.

Also a .692 is a large bore barrel, if your paint is too small it will break especially if it is cold out. If you can buy Polar paint.

I had to always run a hard paint no matter where I set my recock. Use Polar Ice.

Ya, I know that Polar Ice is expensive, but it will be worth it trust me/us.
If that still doesnt help, you are probably setting the recock to high.

i had to use polar ice in like 31 degree weather and all it did was break with my stock barrel so from personal experience i would go with premiums but w/e choose what you want

I did not like using polar ice in my omen. It was fairly warm (in the 40's) but all the field had was polar ice. Since the place is field paint only this is what I used. I broke at least 2-3 balls per game. Recock was fine. Maybe even a little light as it would not recock once every other game or so. Velocity was only at 270.

3 different types of paint, all breaking one after another. I decided to buy polar ice, and not a SINGLE BREAK in the entire case. It never broke in the gun or the barrel but always broke on its target. SMACK-dap inthe middle of my opponenets faces. Also, a force feed loader might not be too wise to use in cold weather. Brittle paint + more pressure is BAADDD!
I know you said you set your recock each time, that is good. Make sure it is the lowest possible yet still recocks at your highest rate of fire. Also, you don't want your input pressure too high.

In cold weather, I changed my halob/rip for a vlocity, and used polar ice or thick shell pant, and a larger dia bore on my pipe kit. after that,my omen rarely breaks in the barrel unless I increase my ROF.

Yeah but a 0.692 will work in 99.9 percent of the time . In the winter i use a large barrel to reduce the likly hood of breaking, it realy doesn't reduce accuracy that much you can see it over the chrono but the det is great so doesn't realy matter.

I've been using polar ice, std paint at team training and walkons over winter. Have also given proto ago and it was very good even in cold temps.

Another quick question, any type of detent mod for the omen, getting pissed off with reballs rolling down the barrel in training. have been using a 0.684 barrel back as well and they roll straight down.

If it's warm there is no reason to buy polar ice, it's a cold weather paint. Also, large bore barrel/small paint is the devil of matches. You will get tons of barrel breaks. It is very important to have the best match possible. Plain and simple, if you only have one barrel size, you need to try the paints they have to see which FITS BEST. There is no ONE barrel that works 99.9 percent of the time with all paints. That's merely crazy talk. Again, PAINT TO BARREL MATCH.
