Who's on the NYX?

I've just recently started liking the New York Xtreme. They seem like a well built team. I just don't know any of the players names or anything. Could someone tell me the roster or lead me to a place where they have rosters? Thanks so much.

NYX is in no need of saving.

Rosie is an extremely capable and confident coach who understands far more about paintball than I ever will. And Rosie put the Texas event together out of sheer willpower. He took care of 90% of the details - from organizing the sponsors to the roster to the game plans. The only short-comings the team had (lack of quality practices prior to the event) were my responsibility. We did what we could with what we had available, but its not easy to practice up north in the winter, and a giant blizzard kiboshed our best efforts.

Supporting Rosie is a core of very good players. Fritz has played more pro tournaments than most people have played PSP matches. Wedge is a seasoned pro, in his 3rd year with NYX, and I have complete, and I mean *complete* confidence in his abilities on and off the field. And behind them are a number of players (Zack, Mo, Paul & Jason) who all have NXL experience and are all returning to the team.

There will be new players. I don't want to overstep my bounds and babble what I know, but I can tell you that Rosie is talking to some very good players about coming on board. If the team picks up even two of the names I've heard, it would make a tremendous impact.

I won't get into the Hurricanes' involvement with NYX. Its premature. Texas was a trial and we have to decide what the results were.

And beyond the players, there are some people behind this team who can make a real impact in its future and direction. I can't get into that here and now. Its not my place. I am simply an interested observer.

As for Jerry... JB has done more in paintball, and more for paintball, than all but a very select few. Fields, stores, magazines, distributorships, leagues, paint, markers... he's touched everything. There would be no PSP without Jerry. Hell, there could possibly be no X-Ball without Jerry. Jerry did not want to see the team attend Texas. He had his reasons. You can agree with them or you can disagree with them, but it is wrong to say that Jerry doesn't care.

In life, sometimes you have to agree to disagree. And often you have to understand that just because people see things another way, does not make them bad or malicious. Jerry had his reasons, it wasn't a flippant decision.

Have you considered that, from a purely cost-benefit analysis, maybe Jerry was right, and it was hubris that brought the team to Texas?

I have considered that Jeff, but thats not case here..
Back in 04'' when NYX were favorite to win and make
the come back, But bad choices were made and its been
down hill ever since. The players and Rosie werent at fault it
was the OWNER.. and they got screwed!.
Yes players come and go but there were Only Fritz,Wedge,
Paul from NYX and the guys from the CANES and some fill in.
is this a NXL or PRO or what???

What am sayin its time for the torch be past on and
bring this team BACK on TOP^^^^^

Actually Jason Baird played with NYX last year as well. I think they will be fine they have a lot of resources at their disposal and will be able to rebuild faster than most teams can.

Jason and Zack were both with NYX last year and were both in Texas. Mo will be back for future events. He is taking care of some familial responsibilities right now.

You guys will be fine. I think there is enough young talent on the team with potential to become leaders and help the new recruits progress to the level of the rest of the NXL.

many people only look at certain things jerry do and critizise them, but dont see it from his eyes, which usually makes alot of sense. Yes jerry does alot of things that only he agrees with, which could be explained for so many top pros leaving GZ and NYX over the years(if you look at teams, so many top players have come from GZ its rediculous). But thats the past. I believe in rosie, and he has what it takes to lead the team, but the players have to believe in him... there are still good players left from last year, and the new ones really need to practice xball... and besides that most people are here dont actaully know what jerry does, just hear about it.. and NYX was GZ black and Gold, and fritz is the only one left...

we will be fine,we do have the talent, and more importantly the heart...the difference in our team now and other teams and even our team in the past is that the kids out there playing now and people have stuck around stuck around because they love our team, they love rosie, and they want to play paintball. Not for the money, cuz there is none right now.The kids sticking around and playing for NYX right now just want to play paintball, and try to build something thats going be competetive, and it will happen. Its going to take time but we all do believe in Rosie and he will make this work. Look at last year, we struggled through the entire year, hell 2 weeks before worldcup our team pretty much almost fell apart, but we came together and should have beat the russians at world cup and even though we didnt, it proved to all of us that we had got through all the bull**** and become a competetive pro paintball team again. We got to where we needed to be last year and now we have to start over again, so its going to take time, but it will happen because the people on the team have the heart to do it and they just want to play paintball for Rosie and NYX. we will be competetive again. Give us time.
