i dont have a quest but i love my ego! The quests are better in the fact that they are smaller. Ego's are faster because of the seleniod. that is all i can say. I see your quest fund is 0$, why not sell you stock ion?

well im getting 560 bux back from tax returns and im trying to sell my timmy for about 400. so thats 960. im really not sure what to get between an ego and a quest. i dont care bout the solonoid thing cuz the quest has the same solonoid as the dm4 and dm5 so it must be fast. and i dont wanna sell my ion cuz its a good back up gun and i like it.

alright let me set this straight... Egos are NOT faster than Quests. The quests selenoid is capped at 24 and trust me. YOU WILL NOT OVERSHOOT 24 BPS LEGALLY. Even with ramp your pushing your hopper to the limit to shoot 24 bps.
EGOs and Quest are both great guns i have both. They both equal in kick and loudness. I have to say that the egos is a bit more efficient. There both pretty much the same weight, the quest is a bit smaller profile. The EGO is a lot easier to clean and take care of compared to any spool valve gun. I prefer a EGO in the winter days so you dont have to deal with constantly lube your guns. You'll be happy with either guns.

I shot an '05 Ego exclusively for 9 months prior to getting the Quest, and agree with almost all of what YimSta007 said above. I'll just ramble off some comparisons in no particular order...
The stock trigger on the Quest is better than the stock Ego trigger. They are very similar in weight, but the Ego is taller (it's actually been a bit of an adjustment to site down a shorter gun...). Ego is extremely reliable and doesn't need much maintenance. The Quest requires the bolt to be lubed often, but it is very easy to do. Both are comfortable, but the Quest may be slightly better. (Holding the snatch is much more comfortable on the Quest though!) Kick is similar (depends on gun setup), but the Quest is definitely quieter w/ paint using stock barrels (depends on gun setup). Not as a quiet as a DM though. The Ego is a bit more efficient (depends on gun setup), but you definitely can get 1500+ out of a Quest and 68/45. My Quest is much gentler on paint, which particularly important in cold areas or when the paint is very brittle. Both guns can be very fast.
Hope that helps.

My Quest has less kick than any ego I have ever shot and it is quiter than my dm4 and dm5 I had. The Quest is extremely accurate and it has no kick so when you shoot a string it is ball on ball. I've always liked the way a shocker feels and how small it is but not the way it shoots but the Quest feels SO nice shoots even better! When I played last I let this guy with a XSV Ego shoot my Quest and he wanted to trade straight up after he shot it. I just got offered a Entity Matrix straight up for my Quest and I said no. I absolutley LOVE my Quest.

ok woah, erm egos are faster... obtainable speed and how fast it can phisically go are different, thats like saying a ferrari and a mazda miata go the same speed in a 55 mph zone, but we all know the ferrari is a ton faster =0. 24 cps as opposed to a 36+ cps.
i guess your arguing the fact that you just wont shoot that fast, which is most likely true.
as for the trigger of both, quest by far.. omg the ego one is wierd, im just used to a microswitch, but i guess if you like a smoother pull the optical is the way to go, i like it semi snappy. like a mouse click

Both my ego and quest are a great gun. While you have to lube the quest more often its worth it. The ego just gets amazing side bounce, but no need on the quest, if you have fast fingers like myself.

Even if you have slow fingers with the Quest the board is fully adjustable...

And yet theres a link in your sig...
And my ego never chopped. Even with brittle paint. If you have good eyes, even with the brittlest paint, you will not chop.

You must not have played with a Quest that is set up properly. I would take a Quest over ANY Ego!
