Millennium mode

Is there a millennium mode on the stock board?
Doesn`t say on the FEP main page and the search button turned up zilch..

Edit: just noticed the Nox chip has millennium on it but I need to know if it`s a stock feature since I`m seconds away from ordering one..

Isn't Millenium Mode just 15bps cap Semi-auto? Set the fire mode to 1 and tune the ROF Cap to 15bps or below and you are good to go. Same thing with the PSP and NXL modes. Just make sure you have the ROF Cap set below the limit. The ROF Cap is global througout all firing modes.

I yanked this out of the 2005 rules, 2006 rules haven't been pulished yet.

Jamie

11. Markers
11.01 Players may use a single .68 caliber paintball marker, which consists of a single barrel
and a single trigger system. Double-action triggers are prohibited. Markers will be
limited to 15 balls per second, defined as no two consecutive shots timed shorter than
65ms apart. Trigger activation may be stored for up to 100ms after trigger pull but must
be cancelled on the next trigger activation (this is to allow guns to shoot at 15bps in
semi-automatic mode). Ramping of shots will be allowed only once 8bps has been
achieved and then the marker may ramp to 15bps only if the 8bps is continually
maintained. Once the trigger is released only a single additional shot may be
discharged thereafter.

So it sounds like Millenium can have 2 modes: true semi capped at 15bps and ramp capped at 15bps once 8bps has been achieved. Shouldn't be hard to implement ... It should be on the next firmware release.

So here's another question ... if Millenium will allow both fire modes as described above ... do you (as the user) want both or just the ramping mode since you can set the SA capped at 15bps by combining the Fire Mode and Max ROF Cap settings?

Truth be told I hate ramping from the core of my soul, it takes some of the skill out of paintball and I really condescend the person who brought into tourniepaintball in the first place, whomever that may be..
Yet I will use the ramping mode because if the other team are throwing 7x15bps at us and we respond with 7x10-12ish they have a unfair take on us.

It wouldn`t be the same if we both used semi and they maxed out at 15 and we at around 12, then it would be because they were more skilled than us.

**** ramping!

So the stock board does have both versions of Millennium modes. You can set the ramping to start at 8 bps and have a cap of 15. And you can put the board on fire mode 1 with a cap of 15 bps.

well as long as the ramp resets everytime you stop, on psp ramping can stay kicked in for like 1.5 seconds or something after you stoped shooting, allowing you to pick up where you left off. millenium must reset the ramping after every series of pulls.

The way it is now (v1.6) you can set the Max ROF Cap to 15 and play in fire mode 1 or 8. With Fire Mode at 8, you are actually setting the Ramp Threshold to 8bps. I know it's a little confusing, but the next firmware release will be more inuitive.
