QEV problem?

alright we were playing reballs yesterday, me n my friends. and my frinds dads ion that he just bought used and was using for the first time would work. he had just put a QEV in it(SP 360). the problem was that after each shot the bolt would not got back all the way and would block the balls from entering the breech. after about 3 sec the bolt would then finally clear and it would keep doing the same thing. so i took the QEVout and replaced it wih the stock fitting and the gun work gr8. we tried a dwell anywhere from 12-45 . pleas help
thanx

well scince your trouble shooting, prooved that it worked without the qev, then the qev could well be the problem, but also an incorrect dwell setting or operating pressure could cause this. So if i were u, i would just keep experimenting with differnent dwell settings and operating pressures until it works.

call up smart parts and talk to them about it, if the qev is new and faulty they should replace it

yea we tryed a bunch of different dwells. we had it at the chrono and it was shooting 240 fps but the OP was only at like 100 psi. but my ion without QEV was at like 110 psi and shooting perfect. uea its a brand spankin new QEV so i guess were gonna have to take it back and get a new QEV or something.

i was just wonderin if anyone had this same problem with the bolt not clearing the stack after it was fired.

its something to do with dwell. I'm having a similar issue with the 360 also.

Is there a possibility a dirt or something block the QEV?

I was having problems with my qev trying to play reball as well. My first shot would fire just fine but all the balls following it would just roll out of the end of the barrel. I think its that with the lowered psi and dwell the ion has trouble going even lower to get to a fps of 240. Has anyone found a dwell/psi setup that would work? Otherwise I think I'm going to have to take out my qev everytime I play reball.

yea u have to take the qev out when you want to run your gun at a really low pressure. the guy at my local shop said that the 360 qev wasnt made to used under 260 fps. good thing he told us that AFTER we bought it.

Hey Gibson, what Dwell/PSI setting do you use for reball? I have a NDZ QEV and I was still having trouble getting my gun to run at 240 fps. Is that the speed you were running?
