For a CP reg, turning in (clockwise, right) Lowers velocity, turning out (counterclockwise, left) Raises velocity.
The 06 reg may be different. It should work however a Palmer's or Torpedo works.

That is indeed a monumental task. Fortunately, you rarely if ever have to do it. Here's my method:
Disconnect the LP hose from the ram barb.
Move the ram/noid somewhere out of the way.
Put in the trigger spring.
Put one stop-plate screw through the plate, and move both pieces into position and start screwing in the screw, making sure that the eye wires are in their appropriate trough. Yes, this takes madd skills, however it is much easier than placing the plate into position and trying to keep it there while you find the screw and try to thread it in.
Tighten both screws.
Return the ram/noid to position (don't pinch any wires!)
Push the end of the LP hose over the trigger pin and under the stop plate towards the noid and attach it to the barb. Pliers help here.
It may be necessary to tape each side of the gun where the trigger pin comes out to prevent it from sliding out from under the wires/hose.
