Quest vs. ________ Thread

You guys know how this works, no more Quest vs. Ion or Quest vs. PM6 but in this thread.
You post what the other gun is and what possible ups it has, and other people will give more than their opinion, facts! on why this or that is better.

effeciency
probly stock barrel, i know its very good
probly reg and lpr also

so whats the quest have that makes it better since its in the same price range?

quest has size over all other markers, except for the shocker, in which case it has everything else. i play front and sometimes mid or back so its perfect for someone like me but if i played only back i'd probably get a borg for efficiency but as for speed, if the gun shoots 15bps then its fast enough. and as for haro over that shocker, no membrame and probably looks and i'd say efficiency too.

Id say about Same Performance, Quest being Easier to Maintain, being more cost effective then the Fully upped shocker. Ask Ace, his shocker is Hot..

Quest has the Size,Weight and Kick over the Karni. Same barrel threads so its cost effective. No timing issues with the Quest, or a back block to spack u in the face....

Karni has the Customizeability ^^ , and the "Closed Bolt Accuracy" <Myth or not, it has it> also the -15* Asa is Comfortable, and making it easier to aim... <I prefer +15*>

Once again on Both markers it comes down to Personal Prefrence..

Sorry about the borg, I havnt seen/Shot one.. i live in Hawaii for all purposes and i got the Only quest in hawaii as far as i know...

i have the 06 cyborg, and i see yimsta007's quest at least once a week.
i wrote a review on these two guns in the Macdev forum:

I own the 06 cobalt borg, and my teammate just bought the quest.

The quest is: Light, has a nice trigger, nice overall feel, VERY CONSISTENT (Even the first time you use it), Pretty efficent, shoots very well

The 06 Borg is : Crazy delicious board, weight, and efficency. It is also kick-less and beautiful, although for me the glad isnt that consistent.

Overall:
Efficency: Cyborg > Quest
Weight: Cyborg = Quest (no noticeable difference)
Kick: Cyborg > Quest
Grips: Cyborg < Quest
Accuracy: Cyborg = Quest
Consistency: Cyborg < Quest (from what i have seen)
Trigger: Cyborg < Quest
Looks: Preference
Board: Cyborg > Quest
Ease of Operation: Cyborg > Quest

In conclusion, I would go with the cyborg, but they are both such great guns, its really your choice. At the practice, my borg wasnt shooting the balls as far as i wished, and the Quest's LPR was constantly creeping. so neither is perfect, but whichever one you choose, enjoy it.

Quest vs. Matrices (DM4/5/C/6)
Efficiency: Quest>Matrix
Weight: Quest>Matrix
Kick: Quest<Matrix (sorry but matrices do win in kick)
Grips: Quest=Matrix(i think it's preference although i do prefer the stickies)
Accuracy: Quest=Matrix(i think they are about the same because Quests are very acurate although matrices have no kick)
Size: Quest>Matrix (Quest is ALOT smaller)
Trigger: Quest=Matrix(i prefer the Quest trigger but a Matrix with a UL frame has a nice trigger. It is very difficult, its pretty much preference)
Looks: Peference
Board: Quest<Matrix
Maintenance: Quest>Matrix

Over all I think the Quest wins considering that fact that I am a small guy and a front/mid player but besides that it wins anyway. If you are considering getting either of the two then try them both. The Quest trigger frame has an amazing feel for me. The board isn't that good so i would reccomend an aftermarket board. I would reccomend the Quest even though I have been a Matrix guy for the longest time and wouldn't buy anything else until my friend convinced me to buy an EGO. I guess now I am a Quest guy. Get a Quest IMO.

Thank you for reading, i will do a Quest vs. EGO comparrison later.

well actually i prefer the stock quest board to stock dm4/5 board, has more modes so i think quest > dm in boards, because both have chips that can be upgraded

Cept for the idea that im the one who shoots people.

Here are some of my reviews
From the Fallowing ill give the best to worst.

Overall:
Efficency: EGO, Quest, Dm6=Pm6
Weight: Dm6, Quest=Dm6=EGO
Kick: Dm6, Pm6, Quest, Ego
Accuracy: All about the barrel. But i think that the ultralight would be the best
Consistency: About the reg. But from out of the box it would be EGO, Quest, Dm6=Pm6
Trigger: Preference buts heres mine Quest=Dm6=Pm6, Ego
Looks: Preference
Ease of Operation: EGO, rest..
Tuning: There all about the same
Lubing: EGO, Quest, Dm6=Pm6

hopefully thats it. All guys are good. Just preference.

JYim

05 ego

weight < shocker so i assume lighter than the quest.
speed = 36 cps, faster than the quest
kick = about the same as a shocker platform so = to quest
noise > quest, not much use though
cost = quest
ano quality > quest
one of the best stock barrels on any marker .693 > quest
reliability (less orings and simple maintanance) > quest

same can be aplied to the 06 timmies, there almost like an 05 ego sept looks. and a lil less kick on the 06's

Im not sure what Ano quality has to do with how the marker performs, but are you saying Ego > Quest? Or are you simply using ">" to point to the winner?

dude i wouldn't trust this review, first off the quests shoot nothing like shockers they just sound like them they shoot much more like dms then shockers which have less of a kick. the quests stock barrel is just as good as an UL or any other high-end barrel out there. quests make the same amount of noise as egos, if not less. and no 06 timmys are nothing like 05 egos except they are open bolted, they have a springless poppet and brand new poppet/valve design, they are alot smaller, and there grip frame is alot better looker and feels better.
