What is a chronograph? and is it needed.

A chronograph measures the speed of a paintball. Don't play without chronographing. You could hurt someone. Chronographs measure FPS=feet per second. The fields you play on will usually use a field speed somewhere between 240fps and 300fps. NEVER play over 300fps. Many proshops have chronographs that you can use. Every field should have one you can use.

Also there are hand held chronographs such as the radarchron that give a good measurement of paintball velocity.

Every paintball marker MUST be chronographed before use.

Safety first.

Thanks, I'm looking at getting the male stabilizer for my a-5. On the palmers website it says that you get a gauge on it for $12.00 more, they say you can adjust it form 0-1200 psi or something like that. Do you think that i should get it or not?

Having a guage can be helpful when you are setting up your stabilizer.
I prefer to play without a guage. It's something that may leak later on down the line.

by leak he means radioactive material will ooze out of it.
But really he means air might leak out, I personaly always use a gauge, it makes it easier to set up and tune and you can also check to make sure your not geting any pressure spikes or recharge problems.

Worry about the guage later. Just get accustomed to playing and taking basic care of your gear.

If you want to. It tells you how much pressure is going from the stabilizer into your marker. You don't need it. But they can be helpful.

GP@PPS works for a Paintball manufacturer
The Stabilizer comes with basic setup instructions but you'll need a chronograph to get your gear set up right.
Then check the pressure gauge so you'll know where to go gack to if you make changes to your setup.
Please keep in mind that the only thing the regu;lator is going to do for you is help keep your gun consistant, only by keeping the air supply to it consistant.

No need for the gauge at all. They're common on high pressure tanks because you need them on those to see how full the tank is! For an in line reg like the stabilizer it's just for show IMO. Can be useful like twice a year at most unless you change parts on your gun every other week.

Do you need a chronograph? because i don't do anything to my gun, i just get the paintball people to install my stuff. Is it ok if you don't do anything to it.

Also what does IMO mean?

YOU don't need a chronograph if you play at legit paintball fields because they will have one. Any places you play at MUST have one. EVERYONE must chrony before EVERY day of play. Safety first.

IMO = In My Opinion
