Quest Leaking ? Tech help please
AA 68/45 HP tank
Shocktech On/off
i Just got it out of the box <Very Nice> i put on my on/off and hook it all up.. i Gased it up. Slowly turned in the Reg till it was Flush, Slowly adjusted the Lpr and it started leaking.. from Down the barrel..
I stopped, and played with it for a bit, set Lpr to 75 and adjusted it again with the Hpr, It started leaking somemore, i adjusted hpr a little highere <thinking it would catch> started to leak out of frame...
I pushed bolt back and it stopped leaking a lot.. The whole time i could fire, but it would still leak from either down the barrel or out from behind the trigger..
I removed the Bolt, The guide came out while the bolt Stuck inside the gun.. had to pull it out with my fingers... Examnined and it seemed the Lube was Dry, a thick Chocolately like feeling... not slick or smooth..
I replaced bolt, <didnt relube> and had about 500psi left. gassed it up and it seemed to work ok, it leaked out of the Back now where u Unscrew it, Very lightly but it still leaked From the allen hole..
I assume all the of the problems was from the Bolt being THICK <old lube or to Much?> and bolt was sticking and not operateing correctly.
Any help would be appreciated thx ^^

Check and replace any o-rings that looked nicked. Replace the outter bolt o-rings first, then the inner guide o-rings next IIRC.

NO o rings appear to me Damaged, no Nicks or marks. Im gonna have to assume it is do to lack of Lube, or to much.

From your description it sounds like a lack of lube. I would also replace the bolt pin O-rings if there is still a leak down the barrel. Wipe off the old lube and relube every time you take it apart. The gun will love you for it.
Let me know if this solves the problem for you.

That should take care of any leak down the barrel. Set your LPR at 90 then adjust your velocity with the HPR. The HPR should have come to you preset at 200psi out.

Alright Thx, I Lubed it today, it took care of the leaking quite a bit, i had to push the bolt back with my finger to make it fully stop.. then i got a nice Woosh thru after i aired it up but it didnt leak.
and the leak from Inside the bolt guide, its some Allen Screw <Why?> inside the guide, it was leaking from there, so i thru some Blue locktite on it and it Stoped the leaking.
Good job, thing works great now, a little on the loud side... but its all good
