Common Questions on NME & LE
OK i have been in this forum for the past few months and i see the same things being asked over and over again. So i am making a deffinative thread that will be updated. And if you think i left something out post and ill update it.
First off CHECK YOUR MANUAL before asking most questions. The manual that comes with the NME is very helpfull. Page 14 has a trouble shooting secton
Thank you Kingtas and AuctionJunkie! For the help getting this file availiable to the public
Q. What is the difference between the NME LE and regular NME
- A. The milling on LE is more extensive making it under 3lbs (believe 2lbs 14oz or so.
- LE comes with upgraded board with NPPL, NXL, PSP firing modes
- Comes with maco kit. Heard that some of the newer reg NME's do but not confirmed
Q. What barrels does the NME and LE take?
A. Both the NME and LE take cocker threaded barrels. And has a .689 bore back
Q. What feedneck does the NME and LE take
A. NME takes Cocker, LE takes Pirranah/Impulse
Q. What tank should i use, HP or LP?
A. "Ther are low pressure and high pressure systems, You must adjust your velocity accordingly" from NME manual. You can use either. BUt LP is recommended.
Q. What upgrades does the NME have?
Q. How does it compare to other guns like ego, dm etc..?
A. NME/LE bps wise can keep up with everything out there. But for 500 bucs you can't expect it to behave like other guns.
Q. What are the specs of the NME/LE
A.

And yes I stripped all the parts of my bolt before I dyed it.

For more info check the Voided warranty section for the "Definative Guide to Dyeing Plastics"
Q. What modding do i have to do to get a Timmy frontblock to fit?
A. A small piece will need to be taken out of the trigger frame. The barb position on the NME front block and Timmy fron block are in different spots. This is off Losers555 NME
For more info on some of these iteams ask around. If there is something new you guys find leave a link here. Or get me on aim:xibunkrlilkids

Do you have a stock barrel? If so, it should have .689 engraved on the smoothe part in front of the threads that screw into the gun. If you don't have the stock 2 piece barrel, then only you can answer that question.

Will the stock LPR and HPR fit on that AIM front block? I kinda want to get that so I can have a rearward-angled front grip (like a karni).

dav-you get what you pay for. these guns can easily keep up with any gun out there. It is to stop thoose VS threads than i often see. maybe i can refrease it, i wrote this in like 10 min.
PoisonMushroom. I dont think so. dont see why you would want to keep the ones from the NME the front block comes with them. you will probally have trouble with the reg hitting the trigger gaurd seeing how both are fat. slimmer reg may help. Let us know if it works id be interested in it to.

Question!
I was browsing forums for the nme le online and came across one that stated that hp tanks should not be used on the nme. This seems ludacris to me since any lpr should tank care of any pressure issues, least i had thought so.
Please clarify whether or not a hp tank could be harmful to the le, or as they say decrease performance drastically. (have nib nme le arriving tomorow)

Remember the old Angels? You had to use LP on them. The problem lies in the HPR. Some can take HP input and some can't. According to Jim Drew, the NME HPR can't. However I've run HP on all three of our NME LE's with no problem and other people have. But some people had problems with HP. I guess it comes down to the luck of the draw.
If you do find that you are having trouble with it, put in a bob long torpedo spring or get a LP conversion kit for your tank (if there is one). That should take care of it.

ok ill will update and to answere.
All front blocks will require modification. Because of the fact that there is no front blocks specifically for the NME they are all timmy front blocks. ask around there are a few that have done this. And did they finally release the v!rtue? last i saw it was still pending.
