Gun will not fire (not even the bolt stick problem)

I was wondering if anyone else ran into this or has any advice...

I played with my Matrix Saturday in a light rain (for only one game) then put it away and decided to use my Cocker the rest of the day, well at the end of the day it had stopped raining so I took the Matrix back out for the last game... during the game I found that sometimes when I pulled the trigger nothing happened... not bolt stick, but nothing...

At first it was intermittent and when I took it home I found that whenever it stopped firing if I pressed down on the chip it would pick up again just fine...

Do you guys think I could have damaged something in the rain or is something a little dirty? Can I clean the chip connectors somehow? I just got my tournament chip in the mail and it has the same issues as the stock chip.

Let me know what you guys think...

Thanks in advance,

additionally,

I have replaced the battery and checked and double checked the battery connection to the board.

Yeah happened to me one the connectors on the battery were slippings off and then problem fixed. If you are going to take the chip out be very careful considering you have all those little fingers that break off easy.

Another thing to check is the trigger spring. Sounds weird, but a guy at the field I play at had a matrix that woul dfire once, everytime he turned it on, but then woulkdn't again. It stopped doing this after he took the grip off and noticed that the spring had slipped off the trigger into the body of the gun and off the normal resting area.

May be off the wall, but that is what I witnessed.

I had the same thing happen to me. It turned out to be the adjustment screw on the trigger. I'm guessing that pressing on the chip lets the switch cycle. All I did was redo the adjustment on the trigger and used teflon tape to secure it.

Hopes this helps.

Same thing happened to me. One of the screws that
holds the board came loose. But, if you're gonna mess
with the chip, take the battery out first! Check your
trigger settings, etc. Good luck. keep us informed or
the situation. Could be useful to one of us in the future.

a while back one of my teamates gun went down after playing in a light rain. even though he has the rubber grips and i have the pewter on mine his went down. nothing we did could fix it. we let it sit for a day and it worked fine the next day. possibly moisture in the board that needed to evaporate.

Today I was showing off my matrix and it suddenly wouldn't fire.
Check your screws. The screw with the spring on it was loose.

ugh...

Well,

Things I know:
It's not the trigger set screws (although that's a good thought because that's what happened to me when I first got the gun... took me like 2 hours of tweaking to figure it out).
The battery is not dead.
The connection to the battery and the connection to the board are both intact... at least they look like they are.

Things I now suspect:
Dead solenoid? (Anyway for me to check?)
Broken on/off switch? (Again, is there any easy way for me to check?)
Busted board?
Damaged wire (between either the battery or the solenoid)?

So, that's the skinny... I think I'm gonna see about sending it out for maintanence as I'm out of ideas...

Thanks for the help guys... when I get it back I'll be sure to update you peeps with the exact cause of the problem.
