the asa..
like the drop.. right?

you just put the oil in the flipping place where your tank screws in?

well good look with that...
last time i saw a guy do that..

the whole gun was engulfed in flames..

yah..
if you put oil in a place where high pressure enters it should take the oil and compress it until it explodes..
i dont know..

I'm going to have to throw the bs flag, as Ian from pmi/evil tech support told me I could do this and it wouldn't hurt anything. Also, the air coming from your tank should be about 450-850 psi, not 4500. That isn't nearly high enough to have that happen. If you saw a guy do that, their should be a news story, and some pics somewhere. Find them, then show me. If I can put oil in the hose of a 400 psi air tool with a million moving parts, I can put it in the asa of my paintball gun.

seriously.....kids that cant do math and spread rumors like that are retarded. synthetic oil doesnt contain enough energy to make ur marker explode. plus ur putting into the air hole so it will run throughout ur marker. if ur putting in the asa and not the air hole in ur asa, thats just plain dumb.

It doesn't matter if you drop it right in the hole or not. It's really not even physically possible. End of debate. But if you'd like some hard core proof, I'll grab my buddy who is working on his phd in physics....

the dude put oil somewhere in his gun.. i may be incorrect on the ASA part but he put it somewhere within the region of the reg and asa

then screwed his tank in and it blew up

He may not have his facts exactly straight but he is not completely wrong. You DO NOT want to get oil into the reg or especially through the fill nipple. It can cause a internal tank fire and can explode. Better safe than sorry. When you compress oil to 3000 PSI it can and will combust. Just like a piston compressing diesel fuel and they compress no where near 300 psi.

So, as I said, putting oil in the asa is fine? Thought so. Because your tank has that reg... the one you shouldn't get oil in(most say "no oil" or "do not oil"), the oil in the asa would not have the potential to explode-especially since most oil is synthetic, it has a much higher flash point.

True, but diesel fuel is also significantly more flamable than synthetic oil. Thus the complete lack of flamable materials msds sheets on most oils.

Ok... upping this the last time... This will seem harsh. But we were talking about the asa, right? Not the TANK? Cause the tank I have says "use no oil". And if you can't read that, you prob shouldn't have an omen.... or won't have one for long...
