speed update 13 bps
Just to let everyone know, the excal hold up wonderfully at 13bps.
used the link to adjust it & after tweaking the settings i got from rizzo (12.65) got it to full speed. put a few hoppers threw it with no pinches, breaks or miss fires (have a good & fast revy).
i know aaron was a little conserned about it being able to out shoot the revy to easily but no problems. plus it's as easy to maintain the speed as at 10.5.
Aaron, GREAT job on the marker, don't under estimate it, by far the best out there (that i've shot).

OUT SHOOT'N MY HOPPER
played with the Excal (with a fresh battery) for the first time today at a little practice, and when I jumped on the trigger I would out shoot my hopper. my Excal is set at 11.25 bps ( JJ slim had it tuned and turned up at zap ) and Im using a very fast pre BE revy with fresh batterys. the bolt stoped three times on balls but this is much nicer than grabing for your squegy and haveing paint all up in your hopper. Im even thinking about turning it back down to 10.5 bps. I will be getting the new revy turbo board from wicked air sports and Ill see if this helps. I love the way this gun shoots and look forward to playing with it much more.
Winne, dont you out shoot your loader at 12.65 bps?
did you have to turn up the sidewinder or lpr with the change of settings?

i had it at 13bps, worked great just shooting around, but playing a game with it was another story( could of been paint too). i ended up turning it back to 12.65 bps & it's just fine, no matter how long i stay on the trigger. i think most of my problem was from the paint swelling in the heat, was getting stuck in feed tube. so i might turn it back up with a smaller paint.

The settings that I found to work well were 11 1 44 23. This will give you 12.65 bps. Winnie had modified these numbers to give him the 13 bps, but found that the numbers he changed them to did not work as well. I have been using this setting for a while and it shoots very fast. I am working on other settings when I get the chance. The way I test them is I set the numbers, then shoot it with air. If I can shoot it nice with just air, ,I go out back and try it with paint. If it shoots good with paint I write it and down and give it a green light.
I will keep you updated when I get the chance to play with the numbers again.

yeah, our team has two other excals besides mine and they are still set at 13. one i'm going to turn down because he shot an angel for a long time & is used to the way the trigger was on that. he 's out shooting it. by this i mean that he is out shooting the trigger & therefor losing the responsiveness(if that makes sense).
the other guy has had no problems at 13 what so ever.
when i tried the setting for 13 bps i did just like rizzo explained, air first then put paint through it, worked just fine. but as i said in the earlier post, when i actually played a game with it i had a few problems yet nothing major.
i do feel that the 12.65 is a better alround setting till they come out with a ball drop sencer.

I used the 13 bps settings this past weekend with no problems until my loader and backup loader went down The HALO and the ball drop sensor should make it perform flawlessly.

Joe, Have you had a chance to use your TurboRev board with it yet? If so, give us the infoz. If not, then hurry and get it! I just ordered mine about a week ago, so I am sure you will get yours first.

Joe, your excal at 13bps must have scared both of your loaders into retirement lol. you can find new motors for revys at http://www.dropzonepaintball.com/html/revolution.html
Winnie, do your team mates us the high rise and what loader are they using? I just got my high rise from AKA. I ordersd black and got nickle so it looks like a VIAGRA copy cat, sorry man. once AKA is back in stock with the black ones Ill be tradeing it out.

Tony is the one getting the turborev, hasn't recieved it yet but I am sure he will post a full report on it when he recieves it.
My first loader to go down was the Ricochet, the impeller fell out
Next went the Evolution, who knows what went wrong with that
I will give Tony's turborev board a testrun on my Excal to see how well it performs, should be interesting.
