1st Pump, please educate me.

Mods if this isn't the right place for this please move or delete it.
Hey guys, so i've been wanting to get into pump for a while now and finally got around to getting one for some spare gear now that I'm coming back to the sport. Really I'm just trying to gain information on maintaining and tuning a pump. As well as find out what people know about these trilogy's.

Here's the info I was given about the marker:
"WGP Trilogy- Not to many built like this. These were put together and sold @ NPPL Jax in 08 10-15 SF Trilogies were converted and sold.
PPG pump kit - modified with return springs and board out the pump rod for a smooth and positive pump stroke.
Sto 2k auto cocker bolt.
Its ready for electronics and what ever else your looking to do with it."

Other than upgrading the frame to a CCM Single trigger frame (preference), and a clamping feed neck, is there anything else you guys would recommend getting for this pump? I already have a Deadlywinds Fibur-x with full freak kit.

I would put a single trigger on it. You should be able to find some basic single frames for cheap on the bst or eBay; in my opinion an 86 frame would be like putting a $2400 set of rims on a 95' mercury lol. A set of ccm springs will make the biggest difference in the pump stroke. Also sweet spotting the reg will limit farting and improve efficiency. Other than that one under bored sizer like a .682 or .679 will have you good to go performance wise.

I would say tune it and play with it as is for a while to figure out what really bothers you. Then ask about how to improve specific aspects. You could very easily spend much more than the gun is worth by getting miscellaneous upgrades and I wouldn't want to see you regretting spending so much on it when you finally decide to get a CCM...

thanks guys
i figure if the pump has a good stroke then getting a nice single trigger frame and a clamping feedneck is worth putting into the gun that i pretty much got for free

on a side note, what are the CCM internals that were mentioned?

Ccm lower tube kit. If you google "ccm paintball" and click on the ccm/chipley machine link, you can then go to there store on eBay and check out their stuff. I personally would not put ccm internals in a trilogy because trilogy's are worth about $100. And the lower tube kit is $70 I believe. I don't know too much about trilogy's so if you do want to really upgrade it just make sure what your buying will be compatible with trilogy's. I think they have some parts that are specific to themselves and aren't traditional autococker parts if I remember reading something correctly.

The CCM SS25 lower tube kit may work on a trilogy, but I'm not 100% sure on that. Probably best to ask CCM if you're going to buy it.

The SS25 kit may fit, but the valve spring is definitely not long enough.

How do you tune this Trilogy? I just purchased this pump, and I'm new to pump.
