I just pick up the pimp from a local paintball store. The guy tells me this thing is sick. very very fast. can anyone give me some tricks to make it proform to its max.. thanks dude1970

break it in first before playing with the settings. dry fire 2000-4000 shots through it

dry fire 2k-4k then adjust in very small increments like 1/8th turns on the reg and 1 setting up or down. its alot easier on the gun but very tedious specially with e-autocockers like mine. i know its not the same but my friend has a pimp and thats the way i told him to do it and it gets +-2 and 4 on a bad day i know thats average but the guns still fairly new he only did a case enough's worth of dryfiring.

i bought the gun used so i think it broken in. But how good is the barrel and what do you people have for settings and how fast does yours shot.

The barrel is nice, but if you use lots of different types of paint then you may want to purchase the rest of the backs from boss. My settings are lpr~120 dwell 11ms ets 10 bip 2. I'm not sure how fast it shoots because my halo isn't fast enough to keep up.

technically, halo b's and reloder b's are the same speed, they just have different ball detection systems. the v35 board, or a vlecity, are faster.

i think stock for stock the reloader b is faster but a halo with a v35 ftw

get the rest of the backs from boss for ur paint unless u use the same paint that matches ur barrel and the velocity is faster.

ya the halo can be faster if you spend over 250.00 to make it. But there coming out with the reloader b2 witch is faster yet.
And if the halo is so great then why do they sell a kit to make it like the reloader...

reloader B is definatly faster then the halo B. My reloader B was feeding 25 on my pimp in setting 2. If that says anything

The reloader B in speed 3 drives the motor faster than a Halo B.
Halo B 21-22bps
Reloader B 23-24bps
HaloB v35 26-28bps
BOOST Halo 28-29bps
Vlocity 25-30bps
Q-Loader 25-35bps

Of course speed changes for each marker as open breach time is different. warpig.com only got 17bps from a HaloB on marker. manufacturers are very optimistic with their ratings. In fact most rate the free drop speed. On marker the balls accelrate and stop, then accelerate and stop. No where near as fast as free fall. I have seen one video of a Vlocity going 28bps on gun. For angels lab test where they got 31bps, they used a 12' tall straight PVC tube with a sping on top. Like a giant clip. They could get the HaloBv35 that fast.

Bottom line, don't believe the hype. Or the local 12 year old who says his marker does 30bps...

I think the Vlocity show potential. It will be intersting to see what mods will be done for more speed.

I'm working on getting a video of my WAS PIMP with each loader, HaloBv35, reloader B, Q-loader and Vlocity. I'll put the WAS on uncapped NXL full auto eyes on. That will determine each loaders fastest speed on the PIMP.


As for settings, if it's truly broke in and you want fast;
ROF -uncapped eyes on.
Mode -Semi or PSP
BIP - .8
Dwell - 10ms
LPR - 125psi


For less kick and still good speed
Dwell - 15MS
LPR - 110psi

anyone who has a boost halo should be forwarned....a former member on my team lives by Flint, MI and goes reball a lot....He has burnt through 3 halo boards (stock and victory) with the boost battery pack...it maybe good but there are problems with it also...

why you running so high of a BIP especially with the good loaders BPS? just wondering your reasoning on it

i know a lot of people are running their bip a little high, just to ensure that there are no chops. .5 ms doesnt really slow it down that much. so they are still shooting fast, but with no chops at all. i think a few people have had problems chopping with the bip low.

I keep my bip at .5 and i see no diffrents from .4 and i dont break balls in ramping mode..

i use BOOST packs...noticibley feeds faster then my v35, but im not sure how long im going to keep using them because like stated they do tend to cause some problems
