Hey Guys,

So im living in tokyo right now and I was wondering if any of you knew any places to play paintball, also airsoft shooting ranges or anything of this type? Ive looked online a lot and there seems to be nothing about it that I could find. Any information would be great.

Thanks.

To any paintballer that needs help

to whom it may concern,

My name`s Khaine. Here`s the lowdown and I hope it helps out. Basically there are very few paintball fields in Japan because of the regulations. There have been some improvements recently. Paintball markers are legal in Japan but have to have a special 177fps reg on them unless you are playing on the US forces fields in which case it is still 300fps. This is a big step since before any marker that had a computer board or could alter it`s speed was illegal. You still can`t import them unless you have a gun selling licence. Concerning fields, there is Tama, one in Nagano, Yokosuka, one up North or so I`ve heard, the Okinawan field and Splash in Mie-ken near my place. For tourney ball, IMO splash and the Oki field are the best. Also the paint is great at Splash but it is a big trip from Tokyo. Anyway, my team is Incarnate and some of my guys play up at Tama. Email me at khainesmith@hotmail.com for more info or pm me here. Later

The old Yokosuka place is now in Ikego.

If you are interested in going then go on the keikyu line and go to Kanazawa-Bunko and catch a train going to Shinzushi, then when you hit the station Jinmuji you will see the base right there. In a few weeks the train station will have a gate leading straight into the base. The paintball field is in the campground area. If you ask anyone where the campgrounds are they should know where it is. On your way to the campgrounds there is a tunnel. Right after you go through that there will be path right before the bus parking lot. You go through there, if you have a car you can either park on the side of the road or even drive up near the range.

There are three fields here in Misawa on the Air Base. Open to Military only, but a Japanese National can play if they are sponsored onto the base.

Well I learned from my grandfather and from highschool about speaking japanese, I recommend any sort of program to learn japanese, but here's the weird party, since not many speak it here in Georgia, I just talk to myself. It helps cuz you learn how to carry on a conversation.

Ikego nor Tama are "open" to the public as they are US Military Installations. You will need some "associate" with the military to get you on. Which can be done with the right timing.

One "Authorize" Person (US Military) can sign on up to 10 at their discretion (helps to know the people whom they are signing on)

Hi Guys, Im from Malaysia. Been playing paintball for 2 years. Speedball. I will be coming down to work in Tokyo by mid-sept, and would like to play paintball and getting to know people from the scene there. Are we allowed to bring markers into Japan? Im using DM8. How do players in Japan procure their markers? Thank you.

Hi Farizforce. It is illegal to bring markers into Japan unless you have a gun licence of import to do so. If not, you`ll have to do like the rest of us, put it in your case and hope they don`t look and if they do, hope they don`t know the rules or hope they don`t know it from a toy gun. One of the guys I know had his found and they didn`t care less about it but were more concerned about his tank. It seems from exp that customs is more worried about the tanks than the actual markers because the tanks are more illegal here. The markers are legal once you have it in country but it must a blow reg that won`t go over 177fps unless you play on the US base paintball areas. Most of us have had markers for years here and there hasn`t been an incident as long as you keep you head down and on right. So, make sure to have no air in your tank and the reg unscrewed. Other than that, if you have more questions, feel free to contact me, Khaine (Captain of team Incarnate) any time.
