Sample Business Plan?

Good day to all field/store owners our there! I plan to be soon joining the family, although I have a dilemma that the search engine on this site could not solve so maybe you guys can help. My business partners and myself have been extensively trying to put things together to open our very own indoor/outdoor playing field and proshop. However, our efforts have been hindered by the complicated task of creating a business plan that we can all agree on. While our arguments are trivial it still impedes our efforts and I have come to but one conclusion. If my partners and I had a sample business plan from other businesses to get ideas and help us decide on some issues it would be greatly appreciated and I am sure it would accelerate our work. So my request to you is perhaps forwarding a sample business plan to my email: Sting4588@aol.c o m (minus the spaces in the .com) from your own or another paintball business you know of so we can get some ideas and work out the kinks. Furthermore, I would not have a problem sending what we have done already to anybody who wishes to review it for us and give some feedback. Nevertheless, I do not think a full review of our business plan would appeal to anyone so a copy of your own or another business plan we can look over would more than suffice. Thanks for all the help and good luck in all your business ventures!

Are you kidding??? My business plan is a closely gaurded secret and I'm sure the other owners here who have one will agree with me. I'll sell you a template and offer consulting services, but no one, except me and the bank see's my plan.

You're better off posting your dilema and getting advice. Also, if you have a few partners, why not buy the "package" that someone is selling here on PBNation? Or hire a local business consultant? It takes money to make money. Invest in your business.

You can buy software that will give you the template for a basic business plan. Using someone else’s plan, even if only to start your own, is a bad idea.
Anyone with a good plan not gives it to you.
Plans have many assumptions in them. If you don't understand the assumptions behind the numbers, you set yourself up for big time failure and won't know it until it hits you.
Part of the reason for making a plan is the learning process that comes from making it.

Once again, someone else’s plan can only hurt you.

or, you can just wing it....

Try to find a store that is being sold, and ask for the owners business plan, then do the exact opposite, because it obviously didnt work for him

noone is going to give you the answer to what you want for free.

you may find it tough to get a business plan for a paintball specific business off the net. you don't really need one unless you're inviting investors or seeking a loan. if you're self-sufficient, it's not worth the time of making it imho. some stuff i still have in my favorites. may help, may not. good luck.

Thanks for the help guys and sorry for my ignorance on this subject, this was just the most simple solution I thought of in a very small ammount of time and didnt really think it through. Our business plan is for a loan to get the start up capitol we need. I needed some ideas and simply thought a few examples couldnt hurt, and not having to spend the money on software seemed preferable. However, it seems that I will be biting the bullet and buying whatever it takes for us to get this thing off the ground. To: csgoldfinger... I understand your position perfectly, and I did not expect you to give me the plans to run a business with your ideas and uniue qualities to steal from you. I would understand and even recommend censoring or whatever to keep anything you didn't want from my eyes. Although, that is alot to ask for a person you only read a thread from on the Nation asking for a favor. So I think I will give up on this pursuit and try to work things out the old fashioned way. THANKS to all!

Quick tip....Banks, investment brokers and governments don't understand paintball. If you need money, don't kid yourself. They won't give it to you and you will fail. Like I said before, $100,000 or don't bother.

Biz plan templates are available from Micro "bill gates" soft dot com if you bought Word.

SCORE is also available and helpful. Although they will not understand paintball.

hire a databasing specialist to make one for you. you could have them make a sick erd, ect and one that knows a thing or two about paintball would be even more helpfull. we a erd (entity relationship diagram) business plan and all the sql databases for a paintball field last year for our final project in our oracle class. it was sick and our project came in 3rd place in the state of NJ. and having a sick erd would definitally help you get sponsers to buy you airball bunkers and all you would have to do is put their signs on your nets.

Business Plans, although they share some common concepts, are unique in nature to business, location, etc. The best suggestion that I could make is to visit some local pb stores and fields, watch and learn. Each one has been through hell and back trying to make it work and it is way too easy to fall into the trap of thinking that a business plan is the only way to go. Sure, the bank wants it, but you can not provide them with any answers until you see how the real world works. If there was any continuity in this business, there would be "cookie cutter" pricing and availability throughout the country. You first need to determine what you wish to accomplish, not in terms of money, but more so in terms of who you wish to attract. Good Luck

There are classes you can take at your local community college on writing business plans. Does not hurt to learn more. Getting sample business plans will be very difficult due to the fact that no one wants people to see theirs. They are generally guarded secrets for companies.
