Subwoofer question loook

I just purchased a 1200watt 2 channel kenwood amplifier and I am looking for a sub to go along with it. I already have a 12" and a box but I am only running half the amps power to it so i'm looking for a more powerful 12 to use. Any reccomendations would be nice. Thanks.

(I was considering an Alpine 12" type r sub)

Please give the exact name and model of the amplifier that would help a lot. Also the specs would be nice so I wouldn't have to look them up.

Thanks

Chris

What is your budget and what are you looking for out of the subs? You should try to find a sub with an rms rating of ~500w.

I dont really have a budget in mind because I have no money right now. This is one of my next stereo projects. Anything under 300 is considerable. no w7s lol

Alright, well here are some subs to consider:
Alpine Type-R - http://ikesound.com/product-product_id/3158
Acoustic Elegance av12 - http://aespeakers.com/drivers.php?driver_id=13
Elemental Designs 13ov.2 - http://www.edesignaudio.com/product....pid=20&cur=USD
Sound Splinter RL-p12 - http://soundsplinter.com/rlp_premium...subwoofer.html

All those subs will be great choices with your amp and will all sound great and get pretty loud.

I own an av12 and love it. The other two I have never heard but have heard very good things about both. The av12 is much like a type-r but with more output, better lowend, and a little bit more musical. The newer version is going to have even better sound quality and just as much (if not more) output.
