If anyone has ever told you there was a Irish Mafia they were bull ****ting you. The Irish never associated with Italian Mafia, Also known as the "Black hand" and they never will. The Irish had their own thing. After the plague struck Eirinn (aka Ireland) Most irish left the ole' isle and set out for a new life. Most in America, some in canada.
and some in Brittain (but only the dumasses!) After being severly critized, having prejudice thrown at them, and being beat to hell, the irish got sick of it. They started wars with the "true americans" Thus the plot of "gangs of newyork" After all of this happened, a few of the Main irish in places like "5 points" and brooklyn started a bit of a gang. But not much. Later on however, Many of the irish became sick of being low class, and they wanted to move up in society. So many became politicians. This started a huge blood feud. And That is how the "Irish MOB" started. Later on, the black hand came to america and the black hand had their bouts with the Irish Mob, and the big wigs in the MOB decided to not ally with the Black Hand, and to this day there is a strong resentment to the Mafios from the MOB.
SO there is no "IrishMafia" just the irish mob.
Actually the in the 1960's jimmy conen was head of his own irish gang and did a lot of business with the mafia but his right hand man micky featherstone and some of the gang didnt like it so all in all it fell a part but they did work together
