The impeller was ceramic, and some parts for the piping were thermal coated.

and nobody in their right mind would take a bolt off of a GNX. Unless they don't know any better.

If you don't like regal looks, I believe the Pontiac Turbo Trans Am used a GNX powerplant.

Id say the 300zx is a very stylish car. That was my dream car, and with twin turbo and a few grand in mods would make that fly. But I will always love american muscle. 69 Road Runner 440 $3000 bux got it running 2 days after sitting in a barn for something like 8 years on blocks. have a great day!

240sx u can get one cheep for around 2-3k than do a sr20det or even an rb25det motor swap. i dont know what a rb26 swap would cost but thats a good way to spend alot of cash. i bought my car for 1k and im doin an sr20 swap and its gonna end up being around 2500 to do the swap

The nicest GNX I've ever seen was fitted with Baer brakes, custom 3 piece wheels, all new suspension, drag radials, and a whole ****load of other upgrades. It was sick, but probably only because it's the only upgraded GNX I've witnessed.

The 1989 Turbo Trans Am engine was the 3.8 liter turbo GN engine with a few differences...GNX style intercooler, stainless steel headers, and a few other things I can't remember.

That is correct, the TTAs used heads from the FWD 3800 engine.

when I did a search, i got some hits for a 1980, yep, 2nd gen flaming ckicken camaro that came with the older turbo regal 3.8 powerplant. this made considerably less power, but it wasn't shabby for 1980.

301, not 3.8...that motor was a joke and had no balls...i've driven one that was mint and would barely burn the tires at all...

Chrisfromnj helped look for balloons
seriously if you have 8-10k to spend on a car get a 5.0 stang for what 1-3k, maybe even cheaper if its a little beat up, then spend what 5-7k on mods and it will be quick as hell, just dont forget the nos and take what ever money you have left over that would have been used for mods on a car that costs 8-10k and spend it on a decent looking DD.

thats my 2 cents.

Why do the mods yourself when you can buy a turn key fast car with the mods all done and tuned and what not for less than the cost to build it?

Reliability wise, definitely Civic.
