Beginnings of a project car*Help me out*

Hey guys, I was wondering what would be the best things to get based on the way I want my car to run/look.

I just recently got a 1999 honda accord with a busted engine. The only thing wrong with it other than that is some very minor bent metal in the front end of the car. Here's what I wanted to do with it after I put a new engine in it:

Appearance: Theme: Black sleeper-type appearance.

I want to possibly drop the back end.(Because cars like this always have the back of them jacked up, and I wasn't sure if I should do it or not.) So depending on whether it is bad for the car or not, I will/will not do it. Personally I think it looks better with the back dropped so the car appears level.

I want to put a body kit on it. (Not sure which one, maybe you guys could help me out here.)

I want new wheels. (Not sure which ones for the theme I want, the best site I've found so far for this type of thing is Tirerack.com)

Performance:

The only things I can think of right now are a new intake and exhaust. I was wondering what are some things I could do to the new engine I'm getting before I put it in the car.

If you guys want pics just ask.

dont get a body kit, it wont be a sleeper

it wont be a sleeper even if it looked stock because its slow.

just repair it and maybe drop it with some nice wheels and tint the windows, do the intake/exhaust and save your money.

forward rake is a good thing. It makes the cars stance look meaner and more aggressive

Yeah I know, but it is a project. I dont know if I would rather have it look good first, or perform better first. I'm leaning towards it looking better first, because it seriously needs new paint and body work to start with. Also I meant sleeper like this:
http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...6_151_full.jpg

Thats close to what I want it to look like. Maybe not so low.

Maybe to you, but I like a more leveled-out look. I was more wondering if dropping it was detrimental to the car's performance.

If I were you, I wouldn't even bother tyring to make it fast. It will never be fast without serious amounts of money. I'm talking like $7,000. Just focus on getting the car back on the road and do what ever you want to make it look good.

Alright AdamTheBob-
This is what you should do if you want it to be a sleeper
I would recommend going for performance before looks. If you have a fast car that looks ugli...people wont expect it at all. Also, is the motor a 4cyl or a v6?
If you REALLY need excellent help, go to www.honda-tech.com
They will help you more than anyone on here
If it is a 4cyl, I would do a b20z swap, or a k20a swap. If it is a v6....not sure?

Wow that's a lot of offtopic posting. Anyway, I was an idiot by saying I want a sleeper. That was a really bad way of describing how I am picturing this. I'm having trouble describing it. Just a low-profile look? I'll google until I find a pic close to what I'm talking about.

lowering the rear will allow the weight to shift further back during a take off...

you want the weight over the wheels for good launches, thats who RWD is better, when you nail the gas, the weight goes where it needs to

Ah, I dunno then. I'll take a good look at it tomorrow, maybe I'll change my mind.
I'm still looking for a pic....

It's a 4-cyl.
What would those swaps do for the car?

OK here's a pic. Not a good example but I'm having a little trouble.

Imagine that, but black with a different hood and rims.

Same with that. Black with a different hood and rims. Also the back end is TOO low in this pic.

I like this one, too.

Do you guys kindof get the look im going for?

My thoughts exactly. Its funny how saying 'you killed it' after someone kills it totally revives the laughter.

Dude, WTF else can you do with a damn Accord???
Why dont you show me how you would rather it look? I'm very open to suggestion - I just want a hot car.

Is that what most of you guys think about 'ricer' looking cars?
