Limo-Tint

So I want to tint my windows and this looks like the cheapest and easiest methods. I was wondering if ne one has used it and if its ok for night driving (not to dark)

Don't install it yourself. It will suck. I have 5% tint and love it.

have dual layer 5% tint put on every single piece of glass on your vehicle. no seeing in, at all.

and make sure you don't get that charcoal grey tint, that **** looks dumb.

If you do alot of night driving, don't get 5% tint. It might look cool on the outside, but you will absolutly hate it at night. I had limo tint on my old car, and couldnt stand it. Backing out of a parking space and parallel parking at night sucked. I could barely see a damn thing out of my windows at night. On my current car, I have 35% on the sides and 20% on the back window. I am MUCH happier with it. Night driving is much more comfortable than my old car. With the lighter tint, night driving is not affected that much. Something to think about if you do alot of night driving.

I got some 3m ceramic tint. It's shizzle. It was $200 but well worth it. It won't transmit most heat from the sun. You can actually feel a huge difference in the car now

I've got 5% on my back windows and 35% up front on my explorer. I love the limo so much that I'm getting it all around on my Yukon.

My suggestion is don't do 2 tone tints, get one percentage all around. it will look better. and 20% is perfect for me, 5% is for drug dealers and hard to see out of at night.

i had 5% on my 01 grand am gt, it was impossible to see out of the rear window at night. I am currently waiting for some nice weather to take my 330i to get 20% done to it.

i would check your local laws before you put any tint on your windows.

some states have laws against tint being too dark. i know here in WA, anything above 35% is considered illegal.

my car has 35% all the way around... and i really like the way it looks.

I have only heard of 1 washington resident getting a ticket for having too dark of tint. I dont hink its somethin that you need to worry about too much around here. Most cops dont even care to notice

I probably depends what city you are in. My father had my Grand Am before I did and drove around with limo tints for 3 years before he gave the car to me. I was fine for a while, but I got pulled over in downtown Detroit. Its more of a safety thing in Detroit. It is quite a rough area, so the cops need to be able to look in the car and see who's inside, etc. They are constantly looking for drug dealers, gang members, etc. I actually got pulled over for my tints on the same day a second time when I was leaving Detroit. On my stratus coupe, I have 35% in the front and havent had a problem yet. You can't have any tint on the front driver and passenger windows, but the cops in Canton dont seem to care. Its light enough that they can look in and indentify my intentions.
