nice setup^^^

well i want to keep my car quite and fast at the same time, silencer maybe?

I dont want to give off that I posses aftermarket parts, and I don't put bodykits or all that junk, strictly motor(and rims of course) so can I stick to the stock muffler or can I get exhast with a silencer

also, does the silencer on aftermarket mufflers decrease power?

Don't get me wrong, I actually think Harley's are the coolest looking cruisers. I tried to talk my Dad into buying a Roadstar instead. After looking at both of them, I prefer the look of the Harley. Just not the mentality of the majority of the riders.

Actually, when you think about it, almost everyone on a bike revs it a lot. I mean think of dirt bikes, they rev those none stop for no reason at all, crotch rockets do it too.

Move to KY, the state is shutting down all the Emmission Inspection Places December 31st. They didnt really pull people over for straight pipe except in larger cities and now that the Inspection Buildings are being shut down cops cannot ticket and tell you to get them inspected. I expect several people at school to just pull their Cat's and Mufflers off over Christmas break.

It'll be weird with a quiter muffler on the car though. I'll have to relearn when to change gears since I do it largely by sound.

If you want to do that get a Race header and then run a World Sport exhaust or something quiet that looks like stock with at least 2.36" inner diameter. If you have an intake also which you should everyone will just hear the whoosh from that and not think twice.

The silencer decreases power because it inhibits flow. It also causes it to sound more bee's in a cannish at higher rpms. I'd just get a quiet exhaust with good flow.

I didn't get a ticket, so that is good.

Is it by any chance the stock one, but with a hole in it?

That could be why

you can be ticketed for unneccesary noise

Wow, I'm really illegal then. I have a 98 F-150 4x4, 5.4 with headers and they go into the factory y-pipe only for the fact of the 4 O2 sensors, and that's it I wacked the exhaust off right at the back of the cab. The Old Drone Master 40 series wasn't loud enough and didn't have any cackle. Cops just look at me and don't say a thing. What was worse is when I just ran wide open headers for like a week. I was so freaking scared that a cop was going to see me. Freaking Drag Car sound when I hit 4-5 grand.

My state is cool about exhaust. My nissan doesnt have a muffler and unfortunatly it sounds like a typical ricer. Ive been pulled over(recieved warnings each time) for crooked plate in back window, no rear bumper, cut out bed and driving with my *** too low but never for my exhaust.

So that makes the bumper 4'' tall ? It's just a huge truck, that's why it looks small. I believe its 5-6'' by just comparing it to the bumper.

I LOVE import brand motorcycle noise. There was a guy in summer/autumn that would always drop off his kid at the daycare a bit down the street from me and he would just keep it in first to get to the stop sign as it was too close to shift, that was nice to wake up in the morning to.
WRRRRRRRRRRRRUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

I do agree that they need to get control of the exhaust of harley davidsons and other excessively loud motorcycles.
