T-Board Questions

I installed a T-Board in my Pirahana. WOW. that is the best I can say. It is so amazing.

A few Problems. For starters the Battery is heating up when I go and recharge it. This is the same battery that i used with my old board. It is a 8.4V 150mAh 9V Nickel-metal Hydride Battery that i bought from RadioShack. I have gotten so much use off of this battery. It lasts about 9 hours of play on a full charge. The heating during recharging has deformed the battery shell.

Also The sear is not releasing the bolt. I turned up the Dwell several times and have even maxed it out. Maybe this also has something to do with the battery, although I have tried 3 brand new batteries with no such luck. Of those batteries 2 were alkaline and the third was just an energizer max or something like that.

I really want to get the T-board in working order. While dry firing this monster I nearly crapped in my pants.

When we installed our board we noticed the top of one of the transisters is hitting the body of the gun pushing the board down and applying to much pressure on the sear. Need to trim it down a little. just the metal part that sticks up.

wow, I see exactly what your talking about. It sits just below the SHOOT label etched onto the board.

Thats It. just take some really good dikes (wire cutters) and snip it off. be careful not to damage the black part.

haha, yes I know what dikes are, I have a pair myself. Actually i just took a pair of plyers and bent it side ways and crimped it flush with the black piece.

Still no luck though. Right after I crimped it I plugged it in, just the frame, with no body. That Battery is Extremely HOT.

re:

there a short somewhere that why your battery is hot.the board or one of the wires are pinched or cut and is causing a short.or there was a short and your battery has been damaged and need to be repalced now.

PD's got it right.
You've either got a short in the board (or wiring), or in the battery itself.

If the case had deformed - the batt is junk.
The swelling is due to pressure building in the batt faster then it could vent.

Could be the board, charger (or charging method), or age of the battery.

The Head Uber-nerd at RadioShack told me to use a lithium battery instead of a rechargalbe 9v. He said that the rechargables can only put out about 7.6V and the bigger ones can put out 8.4V [that is the one that i had]. What does everyone else have in their guns with the t-board?

Well It still doesn't matter. My gun will not shoot with either battery. This is pretty upsetting because I was really looking forward to playing the wek of christmas break. I dont believe that I can get it working by then.

Yeah, I've tried the spacer behind the noid. No luck. It dry fires awesome and it is oiled good and everything. It just seems like there isn't enough curent going to the noid. To be honest, I can hold the noid's plunger down with my pinky finger. That isn't going to relase the hammer. I've tried new battery and everything. It might be something with the Ultra-chip. I dont know. Please help. I just got it less two weeks ago, it has never fired a paintball.

Nope, It isn't the Ultra-chip. I tried the original and No such luck there either. I'm really starting to think it is something to do with the Battery wires or even the Noid wires. Maybe they ahve gotten pinched? It doesn't look that way but maybe.

It wont shoot if you have the eyes on and no paint obviously. Try resetting the board. When you turn on the gun it should go right into fire mode. Try pressing the B button to turn off the eyes. If it shoots, then you may have an Eye alingment problem.

Thanks, I found the problem, The charge port wire was underneath the capacitor and there wasn't enough room for the capacitor to fit entirly into the gun. When i wne tot put the frame on the gun, it caused a bind on the board. Not good. I simply pulled up the slack and then put it in. Now for a new battery and I will be extremely pleased. A 9.6V is what I'm after, my 8.4V radio shack isnt cutting it. I think ill get a Kingman battery or one of that sort. Thanks guys. This gun is shooting so well.
