It is now lol. Funny story actually.

We ran from ALOT of cops in that car, and we always got away. The night he crashed, he called 911 and said, "I just got into a bad accident". The dispatcher goes, "ok sir, are you alright, help is on the way". My buddy says yes, and the lady asks if he can give her the info on the car and what happened. He says he swerved for a deer and hit some gaurdrails. The dispatcher asked what kind of car it was and my buddy goes, "it's a Dodge Neon SRT-4". The dispatcher goes "...oh, let me guess....orange"

Haha, they must've had every cop looking for the car.

Being that my blood runs chevy orange, I would always take my f-body over a neon. And I have a video of me sitting in a str-4 at a car show a few years back.

That doesn't mean you have driven one....I **** all over that car when I heard he got it, and I continued to talk **** about it until he took me out in it. It's a different car when you are riding shotty at 150mph.

My buddy did not get arrested, I don't know how...but the best part of the story was that the deer was dieing on the ground when the cops got there, so the State Trooper gets out of the car, sees the deer, and pulls a big *** shotgun from his trunk. As my buddies mom gets there, all she sees is this bad *** NJ state Trooper holding a shotgun next to my friends car and she runs from her car screaming "WHAT THE **** DID HE DO NOW". Lol.

Hahaha. But the fact is it's a neon, i'm a chevy guy and wouldn't be caught dead driving one. I'll admit their fast. My friend (who i sat in) is a ******* and drives the **** outta his and I know they're fast. But that's like saying why didn't i buy a mustang instead of a camaro? I'm just a chevy guy.

no respect for the first two (LT1 and 3.8 SC), some for the new 5.3. Some.

Dude...Chevele...camaro....monte....camino....are you ****ING stupid? To say you have no respect for those cars, which where all something this cobalt will never BEGIN to hope it is...it just saddens and angers me that you would make such a DUMB statement.

I'm serious, I hope your mother gets cancer for Hanuka. Go to hell Art.

I assumed you were talking about the new SS's only. You get dumber every minute. The new Blazer SS...BLAZER was giving a great score by car and driver. My friends mom's new monte carlo SS will beat his 89 trans am 305.

im not making excuses but did you hear how many times he hit the rev limiter on that s2k. that peice of **** doesnt deserve that car. then doing those donuts after he lost. gtfo. the srt4 driver sounds like a stoner too. that was a gay video.

srt4 could pull on a s2k. but remember what the s2k is built for. not a straight line. the s2k would eat the **** out of a srt4 in the twisties. and alsot remember what its got. a na 2 liter against a turbo charged 2.3?

w/e that guy in the s2k was a dumb ****.

Mopar's historcally have never been anything more than strait line performance. Yes...superbird and others dominated nascar in the early days, but nascar is not a road course. At least not back then.

guess what? all the classic SS's just represent fat chassis and couch motors. BMW did something good with arguably the first factory FI compact, the 2002 Turbo.
edit: they werent cheap, but cheaper than the 911 Turbos of the day.

fat chassis?....you are ****ing idiotic...those older car are actually just as LIGHT as new cars today...and alot more durable...an ss 427 camaro weighs maybe 30 lbs more than my car having a small block ...stop posting because you are a ****ing tool

i've seen numbers for the cobalt ss in the low 14s...not a 14.9
