If you like inventor, use that. Most of the programs mentioned are compatible with inventor files.

this is my idea for a mini matrix, project im working on. Thorp, how much volume needs to be in the dump chamber, or what is the minimum. Also would my design work?

the-jackal, it looks like it would work, but what is mini about it?
the volume of air would depend on the pressure of the air. Smaller chamber for higher pressure, larger chamber for lower pressure.
I'm not a big fan on the matrix design though, I don't see how the HP doesn't conflict with forces on the bolt.

If you have a student ID you can usually go to your school secretary(plural?) and ask about getting a student edition of the software, or even easier, if you are in University etc... you can go to the Student Cantina/Lounge/Bookstore and they can get you in all kinds of wonderful stuff.

If that doesn't work, contact the company pay them and have them ship the software to your school. That's typically how they do it when you are in high school and you are purchasing educational software.

Outer Dia of whole kit is .689, youd have to unsrew the tip to disassemble it.

rrdude- I think I see how your design works, I have a design that is ram operated and kinda is spool, but is totally different than that. How does that ram stay back in the back position? It seems you have the air pushing back on it, but isn't that air along with the HP pushing forward on the bolt too?

the-jackal- i c . . . wouldn't that mean the diameter of the breach is also .689? What if that balls are bigger than that? say .695?

Even if you have a smaller volume, you can always increase the pressure.

P1V1 = P2V2
