The shop that's building my supra has the fastest EVO VIII in the world..

It's the orange turbo trix evo.

you dont have a damn clue what would happen, because you don't know ****.

I think the GM engineers would have added dohc to it already if it was so simple.

It made the engine too big and bulky, according to GM. It added something like 6 or 8 inches to the height and increased top end weight by like 30lbs. The worst thing you could do to an engine, really.

Not to mention, it just wouldn't be American, or so people think.

Turbo Trix is where my EVO gets work done, i dunno if they still have the fastest...they were the 1st into single digits, and 1st to hit above 6oowhp though. I know another EVO tuner has built a 9sec car that runs on street radials, and now AMS is hitting close to 850whp...think about that, due to about 20% drivetrain loss, that's 1060+bhp. From a 4-banger that's impressive.

to hell with all the arguing, nice fast car , are there faster? hell yeah, that's why he up'd it to 840+whp from 600+whp. that's why all car guys do what we do, to kick another car down a notch on the food chain. It's a vicious cycle and we love it.

You're right... I checked.. They had the fastest evo in the world... were beaten, and they're currently rebuilding it to "destroy" the record.

I wonder how it feels to drive that thing though. Compared to 823 RwHP, 525 torque is not a lot. (It is still a hella lot, but 300 less then the HP) what i am trying to say is that from what i have seen in street cars, the toque is normally more then the rwHP. And the torque is what makes the car pull if im not mistaken.

Must be a smooth ride to that 140+ 1/4 mile!

Besides the fact the 4.6L is a 90* V8 and the LS1/2/6/7 is a 60*.

Purpose built drag car that slammed the EVO from a roll... can't remember if they even went from a dig?

All I see is a bunch of whining and excuses... typical ricer ****. If half of you had ever actually been to real street races... you'd know it doesn't matter how the car got there, if its driven once a day or once a week, if its stripped or full interior, on the bottle, blown, turbo'd... b/c in the end the car thats out front is the faster car... regardless of why its out in front.

Anywho, all the excuses and *****ing has taken away from the fact that this car is insanely fast! Big time props for that guy and his V6, V8, V10, V12 killer!
