Riight......lol.
Anyway, I managed to get new stuff for my gun: new hopper, chrome eyeplates (everything else was chrome). The only thing that doesn't match it the bottom half of my barrel. I think I might need a new one..I don't want to get a Dye because all of theirs are.....chrome and black O_o. Where's the purple?!

And for that matter, so does Smart Parts.

Check out the Freak here.

You can order either barrel from Jim at Paintball Kingdom.

That's right, I forgot to mention freak tips.

Good heads up.

Well, if I buy a new barrel, along with my new eye plates, new hopper, and whatever else I want to buy. When it comes time to sell the gun, will those things make the price of the gun go up? I bought the actual gun for $600, a good barrel will be another $150 - $200, the eyeplates were $35, the hopper was $45. I know after I've used the gun, the price of the gun will go down, but do I add these customized parts to the price if I do sell it?

Firstly, I'll try and disregard the statement that even someday you might sell your Timmy.

Seriously though, any customized part should drive the resale value up. However, keep in mind that you won't receive the full amount in return.

If you're looking for Timmy upgrades, I strongly suggest checking out PBK's Timmy Upgrade Section. There is quite a variety of parts to choose from; the owner, Jim, has single-handedly revolutionized the custom parts market for the Intimidator.

I've ordered nearly every upgrade possible, and I couldn't be happier with quality and/or customer service.

Sorry, but that's not really going to drive the price up.

In all honesty, resale in paintball truely sucks! Which is why I keep telling people to not dump so much money into cosmetics, because you won't even get half that money back if you want to sell it later on. Except for certain things like custom anodization.

But yes, when you do sell it you can add those extra addon items to your asking price.

Well she is not just adding cosmetics. The new eye covers, as I see it, are a MUST for timmy owners. The stock eye covers are horrible, in my opinion. I can remember a few times where I have slid into a bunker and my covers cracked and my eyes were left unaligned.

Yes, I must agree that paintball resale is pathetic
But, things like barrels, bolts, frames, etc WILL make people apreciate your product more.

Rice_Girl: You spoke of a new barrel being about 150-200. That would be for extreme high end barrels like Titanium boomsticks, which is not necesary in most cases. I recommend the Lapco Bigshot, CP 1 Peice, DYE Ultralight, and JnJ Ceramic. They all have a good or great price tag and, you know, they are barrels. I am not going to say they are going to make your gun more accurate, that will depend on the paint to barrel match.

But, find out the bore size of the paint you will normally use and get a barrel to fit that paint well. .689 is a great size. I believe stock boomers are .688 and Lapco Bigshots are .689, so those are a couple good ones.

Shop around, check out the For Sale forum. There are a lot of barrels going for dirt cheap, especially cocker threaded.

Remember, computers and word processing can wait; paintball must remain paramount (i.e. get your mind off of selling your Timmy)!

That sounds so sweet. My team is gonna do that at our next tourny.

And my cousin is getting good a putting pictures under the Dye stickies. He did it for my Timmy and his Cocker and they look pretty sweet. So if you are still trying to get that lesbian porno on your gun, just tell me, I'll hook you up.

I know this doesnt help much, but just try not to sound stupid. If you sound like a newb, people will think of you as a newb. Read some of the quotes in signatures around here to see some of the things not to say, hehe.

Oh, and if you really dont wanna come off as newbish, just dont talk all together. If you win, dont talk smack. If you lose, dont make excuses. this will make you seem more professional and less newbish.
