Hrm I am going to need a place to store my AutoCAD drawings as well. Right now I am working on stock eye covers, but the corners are rounded and I need to know what radius the corners are.

I have about 15 mins worth of work on the stock vavle to complete it.

^ thats really weird, i just measured my old bushmaster 2000 (1999)...from the very front edge (where the lpr screws in) to the center of the 1/8 npt hole for the valve locking it measures: 2 and 11/16"

and from the front edge of the body (where the barrel screws in) to the center of the feedneck, looks to be about: 2 and 1/16"

I have a draft of the stock valve up. I'll be sending it out to all that want it. I still need to do the valve pin. Not too sure what to do with the rubber insert that is held in place by the brass cupseal.

Greg, I am going to send you all the files I have to date.

*Edit* I just sent out a slew of Drafts to everyone that wanted one. Check your email.

the notches in front of the guns are different
3rd gen a 1/4th
ST milled a 5/32

i think the valve sit in different positions too but i need to look into it
but i think my ST body has a valve sitting back firther than my 3rd gen

when i put in the AKA valve that has a short stem the 3rd gen barely has enough ram piston length to open it, and im using the same ram

So we have determined the bodies are different, but what generation is the body we have the IGS file for? Could it be measured off of a ST Bushy?

Edit: I just noticed that ojhspyro89 has webspace for rent on his site www.pyropb.com.
I am going to contact him and see if he will allow us to host our files there.

I should have my bushy body done tonight. I guess all the changes in the body wont matter much since most of you just want the body file to do some cutom milling ideas anyways. I will have to make a big diclamer in reguards to my work when its done in posted. I have already got some cool milling ideas.

I don't see why you are so concerned with copyright on your material. If it came down to commercially reproducing your ideas then you can show prior art. Not only that, but ICD would probably come along and put a stop to whomever was producing them commercially because they would want royaties. Then you would probably have to fight with ICD.

Not only that, but by disclosing your prior art you have witnesses to your prior art. Might I remind you it can be in print (which a forum is).

I finshed the Raw body today. I made it super blocky so that you call can custom mill it to w/e you want to. Its a 0.7 MB solid works file, but I am not sure on the DWG, IGS, STL, DWF file sizes are. Let me know if you can host it for me, and in the mean time I am going to have to right up a big disclaimer for the model so I doont get into any trouble nor can you hassel me. Basicaly if you use this file and mill something with it and then come to me and say I owe you money since it dident work out properly, or if you get in troupble from ICD you cant come back to me. The good news is that the IGS file was very very high percision, whoever did it knew what they were doing so I am willing to bet that yes you can mill this body and it will work.

I should have some milled versions of mine up soon....

Let me know if you want the milled versions files also
PM me if you can host...

Some of you may think that you cant mill that raw body too well but here is an example of about 20 mins of work on it milling it away....

I did that one for fun, it reminds me of a rat imp somewhat.

About the LPR, if you have solid works you can just select that feature and press delet, or just click hide and it will get rid of that valve to noid cut so you can run a auto cocker LPR. I will post one tomorrow with a cocker LPR.

To date I have 0.6 megs of zipped CAD files.

We should make a list of the sort of things we would like on a custom milled Bushy, things like cocker detents and better PDS covers.
