Are you able to convert it to an AutoCAD 2000 DWG standard? I'll take any files you have.

Spitlebug@hotmail.com

BTW how did you get this body and how accurate is it?

Sure, I think I might get Madpooh to make a sticky for us to put up our drawings.

Hang tight all.

Nope, doesn't work with my AutoCAD 2000i at work. I might test it with my copy of 2005 at home.

You can get a free trial of a IGES reader from: http://www.bravaviewer.com/iges-viewer.htm

They make Brava! Reader and is very useful. I use it to read survey plans at work.

Also I am currently working on stock eye covers for Bushies.

I have it running fine in my solid works, I can convert the IGS file into w/e file type you would like. If you ask nicely I may make a new busy raw unmilled body in solid works for you all in all file formats.

I am a professional Engineering and Survey draftsman. Doing machine parts is quite a bit different, but I think I can handle it pretty easily. I don't exactly have the resources to mess around with Mills and Lathes.

It would be good if you could convert that. I was looking at the .DWG my copy says it is 8kb. Not quite what I had imagined a 3D model of a Bushy body would be.

I would like to point out that we are duplicating copyright material. I assume it is fine to duplicate parts, but fiddling with Bushy bodies is pretty close to having the hammer dropped on us. It's one thing to draft parts, but another thing to draft an entire marker.

We should check-in with someone at ICD about this. Madpooh, you know anyone from ICD (Greg,Goldie)?

It's a little crude, but you could do something with it...

Thats the normal IGS bushy file I posted. I will be making a solid works one from the ground up since you can not cut into a IGS body and mod it. I guess a busy body is my next project.

That was my last project I did I did all the internals inc the noid and mattery and boards. It has every little detail for the most part inc all the small air routing holes in the body.

I posted them up in the shocker forum.

for more pictures:

http://www.putfile.com/busades

I do not plan on modeling a intire bushy, as in all the small internals. I will be doing just the body forsure and perhaps a trig frame along with asa and barrel. I should start on the body tomorrow.

Since the body was posted online and had no protection listed it nothing wrong with dowloading it and messing around with the body. For the more part as soon as you upload your work to the internet you have basicaly lost all your rights to it unless otherwise stated. Also if you yourself model the marker it is also nothing wrong so long as you do not produce and sell that marker.

One thing I am reconsidering is the fact that I have to be careful what files I will sare on here. Since once I have posted them I have no legality over them, so for example when I make the solid works busy raw body and post it you can take my work and produce it and I cant do anything about it. So there is no work protection. I have had a messy situation with a past deal gone bad when i was doing bike frames for companies. In short the deal was for one render to be used on the webpage and only the webpage and to be credited. In the end I was never credited and the frame render i did was used in 3 magazines and in about 4 different adds and I never got one penny for my work and no credit. So be careful!

That's not quite what I had in mind when I said copyright infringing. Technically ICD owns the patents to thier Bushmaster paintball marker. The marker as a whole - unless otherwise stated in patent. Duplication in part is possible so long as it is a fair use sort of thing.

*Edit* As a side note how are you measuring all your angles and cuts? Are your renders accurate?

For the shocker I used mm since I dont have my own shocker to take specs from. But the bush will be inches since I do have the real specs for it. And all the angles are perfect.

Give me time to get them rebuilt unless you just want that IGS converted.

I was planning on making everyone a new solidworks version that I can convert into all file types. I should start on it tomorrow.
