Check 1 page back, or just use the lasso tool or magic brush

im in need of a photo editing program. im a photographer and i need to do all the basics, but more than just that. photoshop can be expensive, so im thinking about going with photoshop elements 4. but it sounds like that is for more orginization than editing photos. i dont need to be able to make banners and make animation stuff, logos...
but i need to do all the stuff with photos, like color mangament and what not
please give me some suggestions on wich version, or any photo editing programs that u like...

ok so elements 4.0 can still do all the editing crap that photoshop 7 can do, well not quite all that 7 can do, but a good majority

elements can do all of the main stuff. I used it for awhile, and although it doesnt give you ever feature CS2 does, its a good program to use if your not trying to get highly involved in photo editing

If he had the money, he would go for something better. A pro would get something better.

if i had the money i would go get ps cs2. but i dont have that much money. so i have to make of it what i can. here, maybe this is a better question. could a pro have made his photos look the same with elements, as maybe a better program? or could he make it work, but not be the happiest...

If you want to cut corners on your work for a deal then go right ahead. They are your pictures.
