Make a new layer outta anything you want faded or patterned, double click on the layer in the layers box and use gradient overlay or pattern overlay.

frankum- Yes. Save it under .psd , but it will only open with photoshop.

adelg696969- Don't use the magneitc lasso. Use polygonal.

I wouldn't even use polygonal. Use a layer mask or a quick mask.

got another question, when i cut off the bottom of a picture, like used the eraser thing, then saved it, it showed up a huge white space, how do i get rid of it? thanks

i just down loaded it (adobe photoshop 7.0) and i don't know how to use it. i tryed making the trigger black on my shocker and i did but it just looks black, it doesn't look like i realy had it black. there is no glare or anything, how do i just change the color and keep the glares? thanks

you could change the brightness, like make the brightness really really low.

select it and go to Image>adjustments> gradient map and make it black and white and fool around with the settings

I've tried that but it just makes the pattern be on top of it, it doesn't look like it is actually on the gun. I want it to keep the textures and look how it would look like it was anoed. Thanks
