o yea, thanks nyy, i forgot to comment on that. Since your just starting out. Shoot in P or auto until you understand photography better. Your shooting in manual and thats why they are underexposed.

the reason why most of them are dark is thats how it looked in there.

and is photography meant to capture how something looks or to make it look how you want it to look?

and im going to stick to shooting in manual, i just need to use a tripod next time

for shooting manual. Its easier to shoot in P, but you'll learn more by shooting in M, by making mistakes.

Photography is an art. It doesn't necessarily have to be realistic, however sometimes your idea on how the photo should turn out is by the most realistic means possible.

Just keep shooting.

Very nice location. I liked this series of pics, although the leaning pose got old quick. The closeup portraits look too soft as well. You don't want overly sharp potraits, but yours are soft to the point of looking out of focus.

I like the colors and shapes, but would like to see more city and less water. A tighter crop would improve the existing picture IMO.

did you shoot raw for the picture?
if you did you should try to get the white balance right for both sets of lights(in two different pictures, or the same one twice)then combine the two pictures together in photoshop, imo it would look better

I agree the backround lights and their reflections on the water are way to warm.

I like the contrast between the two sets of lights, but the rest of the picture is cluttered. A shot composed around the two sets would be nicer.
