Dude Titanium is uber light. it is more flexible, but stronger then steel, with about 2/3's the weight of aluminum. So it would be about the same weight, maybe a bit lighter. I am pretty sure it is lighter than 6160. I highly doubt though at 65 it is made from titanium. It is a pretty expensive metal. I have a hammer head made out of it, that if it was steel, would weigh 28oz, but instead it only weighs 10oz + 6 oz for the carbon steel striking surface.

Titanium is a heavy metal guys. What makes it "light" is its weight to strength ratio. Its very light for how strong it is. But don't kid yourself, its heavy. It is farther down on the periodic table than aluminum, making it heavier. I think Aluminum is the lightest metal. (if not, its one of the lightest)

He said it LOOKS AND FEELS as if it was made out of titanium, but did not confirm that it was. I would be shocked if it was actually titanium.

If it was made out of SOLID Titanium a chunk that big would cost around $160 for me anyway... It is compleetly WAY too expensive for almost any company to use...

I could rephrase it to say "The feel and quality is that of Titanium"

The reg IS MADE OUT OF 6061 aricraft grade aluminum and it is swiss machined for anybody wondering...

It is lighter than my old 2liter but not lighter than any other normal reg...

Do all of them face to the left like that?

Other than the fact that it faces the left, I really like it and will probably pick one up after xmas.

It is 60% heavier than aluminum and 40% lighter than steel. I wasn't trying to start a debate. It was a joke.

No one said it WAS made of titanium. I was just wondering how it felt or looked like titanium. It is black annoed, so it can't really look like titanium. The only way it can "feel" like titanium is weight. I assumed he thought titanium was lighter than aluminum, so I was correcting him in a friendly joking way. Then the guy below me decided to argue with me when he has no clue what he is talking about, and it turned into what it is now.

BTW....I wonder what they mean by swiss machined? Was it made on a Swiss machine (lathe) or was it made in Switzerland?..lol If they are referring to the machine, that is nothing special. They just threw that in so it would look impressive.

It blows the CP away. To be honest, there are a ton of regs that blow the CP away.

QFT

The CP is WAY over rated when people put it as #2 or #3.. it's really around #6 in my books... The Evolve and 2liter are tied at 1 maybe evolve a little higher because no oil is needed...

Yeah, CP regs are way over rated. The problem is that so may people use them and have no idea that there are way better regs out there so they reccomend them to other people and the cycle continues. CP regs are seriously low on the list of higher end regs, i can think of like 5 or 6 off the top of my head that are better.

Yea, I went with the hype of the CP. +/- 3 seems nice, but thats actually 6 fps difference. And with the damn spikes I got, it wasnt worth what I paid. I saw the Evolve way back when they just started. They had something on PBN for awhile. I wanted it, from the moment I saw the data. Then I just recently noticed it was out. Bought it that very night...
