Wrath Delrin rams-Ebay Parts

I have been working on alot of Wraths lately with aftermarket delrin rams and have found no benfits and only problems. First off the white delrin rams are way too light and do not have enough weight to open the valve properly. Unless you have a board with ajustable dwell, but raising the dwell will only slow cycle speed. Also have noticed the rams are shorter and you have to add extra orings to bring the bolt even close to the breech. I was working on a Wrath with a aftermarket delrin ram and bolt and with the LPR set to 150 and HPR to 250 I could only get 200fps. So I put in a stock Brass ram and it went up to 250fps. So don't waste your money on a Delrin ram unless a heavier design comes out. Sure you can make it work by turning the LPR up and most likely blowing the front LP hose. The Delrin ram is a good idea but it was not designed correctly. As for aftermarket delrin bolts, I would use the Diablo delrin bolt which is almost the same as the stock bolt but in delrin and tests much better than other bolts I've tested. Bad Wrath Day. NPS-Tech.

Thanks for the info Mark...don't be such a stranger. We can use the official tech support in here. Toolshed used to come in here quite frequently, but I think he may have his hands full with the Promaster now. Tell Chris that JJDUSTR (Jason) says hey!

Yeah its best to have the hpr set around 300-400. ACP or someone needs to find a lighter spring, that would make a world of difference.

I think if the delrin ram weighed more it would work better. As for having to raise the HPR to 300-400 just so the ram will work kind of looses any value of the product.
Tell Chris that JJDUSTR (Jason) says hey!-I will see him tomorrow at work and will let him know. I try to get on here, but at work I am fixing markers from 9-6 or so everyday. And only have time when I get home. Just so people know I also repair alot of other products- Wraths, Promasters, Freestyles, Bko, B2k, Silverbullets, Mongooses, Icons, Pt's, Delta's, Rebels,Defiants, Timmy's, Halo and Reloader B's, All TSA loaders, So basiclly every product NPS sells accept for a few. I wish I had more time to post. Keep your eyes open for a new Wrath(sweet)!

Well since Marcasite Industrial is already making the RPM with a delrin bolt, cooler grip, and ramping board, I wouldn't be at all suprised to see those features pop up on the 06 Wraths, since it wouldn't translate into any additonal costs for the manufacturer.

Damn...more things to spend money on! Any ETA on this new beast?

BTW---Maybe you should talk to the powers that be at NPS about hiring some additional tech help for you and Chris. I might know someone who'd be interested in the job. *hint, hint*

I decided to look at the sticky's b/c I got nothing to do, again...

Well anyways I agree with Mark1975. I told Alamo they should make a certain minimum weight of 45-50grams (dragun t1)but they didn't care. When a guy, Carbine moded rams, that's his limit b/c he knew you'll loose fps if you make it any lighter. but they didn't listen so they're making you find a new main spring. I seriously think alamo should find a main spring so our guns can run a bit better. they have tried but I think they just gave up.
All they basicly cared was to help the gun have a fasterCycle. Even with that much weight, wont make much difference since there's only a limit in cycle per second since it's spring return...

I have a Delrin ram for my T1 and it's ok since I do have a new spring but not that great. Had to up my psi by 15. plus the spring I have is slightly too big so it rubs on the body each time i shoot. Seriously hope someone finds a new spring for us and you wrath owners. I just wanted less kick so that's why I ordered one...

I know this thread is from a month ago, but couldn't they just keep the brass ram, shave just a little off, and then put an outer ring of delrin on the brass ram? Would be nice not having to lube that area of the gun anymore.

Would still have an o-ring to lube.

The rams come in 2 different weights for those who feel that 16 grams is too light there is a 26 gram version.

Dang JJ..thought you would have gotten to it by now...I'am over here jumping through hoops of fire to make you a special ram and get it to you quickly...
j/k

It looks like the original version. Only difference is the brass face that is inserted into the front of the ram is much longer. They are on the website....it's a pull down option on the rams.

PM me JJ with any news.

gosh... we seriously need a heavier delrin ram for Dragun T1's... We haven't even found a good main spring yet man! make it heavier plz so we can use our stock spring and not have to up my operating pressure... Tombstones is good but just a bit too big of a diameter... so fix us up ^_^
Up it 10grams or 12 so we can run our stock spring. Perfect weight.... like i said a while ago

PM me JJ with any news.

I know Max, I'm terribly sorry. I've been busy lately with my band. Playing gigs on Saturdays and going to the studio to record the new CD on Sundays!
Oh, the life of a rock star is so hectic!

I will be getting to it very soon though, I promise. I even bought some reballs so I can test inside!
