i bought a case of worr "perfection" (really brittle) to try out this weekend and it was breaking in my barrel constatly. i didn't get one decent game in with this stuff cuz i just obliterated it. i tried different backs and even different barrels but it just kept breaking. i usually run about 250psi so i brought it down to 225 and that seemed to help a little but not much. the most frustrating thing of all was my friend shooting the same paint in his bushmaster and not having a problem.
i've got a rocket valve on the way to help get my pressure down but does anybody know anything i don't about preventing barrel breaks??? just throw some ideas at me if you think of anything that might help. thanks guys.
no... i don't think it's my detent. i haven't noticed any double feeding whatsoever and i check out my detent every time i play. btw... that paint isn't cheap. i liked it a lot when it wasn't breaking in my barrel. nice fill, small seam, accurate... i just want it to break on what i'm shooting at instead of what i'm shooting it with. you know what i mean?
didn't mean to flame about cheap paint. I have had problem with seconds "cheap paint" and narrowed it down to my detents. They were slightly worn...replaced them and the seconds shot just fine. I get seconds so that I can go out in the yard and rip a few. Sorry for the bad choice of words
Davin, if it is indeed the paint, I'll buy it off you. My bushy didn't have problems with it... I was also checking out pbreview and people were stating that the balls they used were very brittle as well. One guy said his cousin or something was having a lot of breaks with it... so yeah, your 02 may disagree with this paint.
what's your lpr at? could also just be the pressure hitting the ball when the valve is open and the ball is actually being fired.
