I checked and didnt see anyone besides Rice as MVP even before the merger, I thought Rice was runner up in 87', but he did indeed share it with Elway.
And for the kid who said Galloway or Alstott, cut the crap homer. Alstott is a fullback who can be stopped (see Denver @ Tampa Bay 2004) and Galloways no where near Steve Smith right now, hes playing excellent, and I hope he keeps it up for my fantasy team, but hes not a league MVP. Rice set the bar for tht with 22 TDs that year, so Im asuming your going to need to get close to 20 to even be looked at as a WR. I think the last person to get close was Moss his rookie year in 98' when he had 18.
