It's either Payton or LT. The Colts and Chargers would be lost without them, the other guys are huge parts of their teams, but they could do it without them. Both guys are playing great right now, but LT is just unreal. Granted that he had 1 **** game, but you can't be on top all of the time.

I think the best options are:
Steve Smith
Carson Palmer
Shaun Alexander
Jake Plummer
Its a very close race. Steve is ELECTRIC on the field and is the best reciever on any football field this year. Shaun is a scoring machine. You have to ask you self, how much of this is based off of a VERY good run blocking o-line? Carson has just been amazing, putting up big numbers, low int's, and having the best passer rating in the nfl. Jake dosnt have the big numbers, but he knows how to win games and not turn the ball over.
I would have to vote Steve.

Alexander, LT, and Steve Smith are all very good players, and very key to their teams. I'm going to pick Alexander because I'm from Seattle, and thats the only thing I have.

JAKE THE EFFING SNAKE!
But I think Manning will win it, he is the best QB in the game without a doubt. If not him Steve Smith should get it and make history by being the frist WR to win it.

Steve Smith is just rediculous. My vote goes to Alexander though, 1114 yards and 17 TDs after 9 games?? That's impressive by anyone's standards.

Rice was CO MVP in 87 along with Elway. There were a few guys in the 60's that were WR that won it I believe.

It depends...if the Seahawks keep it going and end up getting far then I say it should DEFFINETLY be Alexander...his stats are amazing and he accounts for a ridiculously high percentage of the teams offense.
I say Manning has the best chance of winning though.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Peyton... but Edge is having a great year, and the Colts are depending on the run a lot more. He is in the race for the rushing title and is behind Alexander by less than 100 yards. Either way I'd love to see a Colt win the MVP.

I would too. I would love to see Edge beat out Shaun Alexander for the rushing title too.
