Cloverdale, British Columbia has just become home to the first annual BCPPL Brawl for It All. The British Columbia Paintball Players League was created in 2005 by front man Mike McDonald. Competitive paintball in BC hit a low-point in 2004, and a paintball league was just what the Province required to shock the local community back into action.
The BCPPL has set new standards for paintball in the Province, offering a level of consistency most players in BC have never seen before. This league has also been witness to teams from Alberta and Washington State. Events in BC have rarely attracted out of town teams however, the BCPPL has been able to improve the competitive atmosphere around the local scene and is setting the stage for a competitive 2006 season.
The Brawl for It All, will run through November 18th – 20th and will be hosted in-doors at the Cloverdale Agri-Plex. Astro-turf will be the surface of choice, and the Agri-Plex will be home to food vendors, paint companies, clothing companies as well as a beer garden! November the 18th will host an open practice from 7pm-10pm and will be field paint only. November 19th and 20th will see BC’s largest indoor tournament ever held, with guest appearances by Oliver Lang (Dynasty), Danny Miller (Oakland Assassins) and Mike Carey (AfterShock).
Oliver, Danny and Mike will also be hosting a clinic on Friday November 18th at 3pm. The cost is $100 CDN per player and paintballs start at $60 CDN per case. The event is open to the public, and two-day admission tickets are available for $10 CDN via ticketweb.com or at the gate.
Come check out the new standard of BC paintball and your favorite Professionals on November 18th – 20th, this will not be an event you will want to miss!
