Improvement in Dragun Empire markers?

Dear Friends,

It's Rex Paintball asking your help again. We are currently under the repacking and tweaking stages of the Dragun Empire (M3) and Odyssey's markers. We need to know what improvement you, the user, would be interested to see. Of course, it's not something like changing the body, the thread standard or changing the body color, you get the idea...

As well as the problems that you found on each marker, please list them out.

Please post what changes, improvement or problem you think is noticeable and state the marker.
  1. M1 (formally known as Dragunfly Mech)
  2. M2 (formally known as O3M)
  3. R1 (formally known as Torid)
  4. R2 (formally known as Torid X)
  5. R3 (formally known as O3X)
  6. RX (formally known as O2)

Well, its not exactally a tweak, but if you can actually make a data link, you guys could offically change your name to GODpaintball. Almost all of us Odyssey folk have been waiting for it, and it never showed. Some people NEED it to get their guns up and running again. If you could make that happen, y'all would be loved forever.

Make a high end marker that is useable on CO2. There are many people living in rural areas that don't have hpa fill stations at their fields.

Well I will give you what I havent said on other threads. R1, R2, RX need a better front block assembly. The metal needs to be of a higher grade and the tolerances tighter. The front block leaking problem was one that everyone had. The 03 basically needs dwell adjustment. If these problems could be worked out I think it would boost sales. I have many other little ideas in my head also. I could always drop them in a PM for ya if you want.

maby its too much to ask but break beam eyes would be a major step.
other color combos would be nice.
and that they are redy to go out of the box. Like no f'd up dwells and boards that dont reset themselvs.
i see your ads here on pbnation but when is your site gonna be finished?

1 thing i don't get. If you've bought ad banner space/time on pbnation. Then the least they can do is finally give you guys your own thread on the nation. How come you don't have your own thread?

What I would like to see is to buy all type of parts that you see on these guns, I am curently intersted in the ASA Regulator, but back when i have my Torid X, I was in need of parts that Odyssey always had out of stock, I hope you guys will have better managment of your stock.

for the o2: i'd love to see break beams. also (at least on mine) there's a lot of side to side play on the trigger that i'd like to see remedied.

maybe this is the wrong thread for this; but from what i've heard, the return times on warranty issues was unacceptably long with odyssey. i'd love to see fast return times. competent people answering your phones is always a plus, too. thanks for taking our input.

as for the R3 -

compatible with cocker lpr's out of the box
ability to use aftermarket grips with no modding
dwell adjustment out of the box
i think i would ditch the rechargable battery for standard 9v or at least make sure it comes with a car charger
fast service!

I dont think REX is dealing with the RPM...thats still Odyssey's thing. Don't quote me on that though. Also even if you (REX) didn't do anything with the previous markers if you just had good customer service you would do amazingly well. The thing that keeps most peopel away from these makers is Dragun and Odyssey's reputation for horrible customer service.

Um the RPM is not a Rex marker. That marker is part of the NPS Odyssey.

yup that sums it up^^ oh and get on that prototype gun cause i am preety sure the thing looks tight as he** man. its like a dm4 grip with a ego body and yeh its tight, the only thing that makes me mad is grips they need to be able to be changed out when they get worn out, like tippmanns u can easily do it.

I think what is most needed is standardized grips such as .45 grips. Also use standard threading, such as mentioned above, LPRs should be cocker or timmy threaded, fittings should be the usual 1/8 NPT. Better software management of the guns, I.E. dwell controls, debounce controls, eye controls. I would look at what kind of programming controls higher end models have and incorporate those into your markers. People really like to tune there guns to the smallest degree. Whatever marker it is, put in a delrin bolt, I guess except for single tube markers. Its a good selling point to new customers because they know as soon as it hits their front door, they can air up the marker and rip on it without fear of scratching the inside of there gun.

Well, they don't seem to be improving much, I sent an email about 2 weeks ago and haven't heard anything back from them... *sigh*
