Lightbulb How to cut your feedneck in the right lenght!

Cutting your feedneck!
A lot of people have been asking how to cut your hopper in the right lenght so the paint align the eye to make sure it will detect the paint. So, here is a quick guide.

First you put your hopper on the gun (and feedneck) you want the hopper to fit. Then you put paint in the hopper and turn the hopper on so you would get the paint stack just like when you are ready to shoot.
To get the lenght of how much to cut of your feedneck you measure the lenght from the eye to the middle of the paintball below (shown in red). If the hopper doesn't sit low enough for your taste now then add the diameter of a paintball to the lenght indicated by the red line.
The masurement might take some tinkering and playing around especially if the hopper is colored. I looked up the feedneck and put in a paintball to figure out where the eye is and then made a temporary mark on the outside to make sure.

This picture shows how the eyes are exactly aligned with the paint and how the hopper sits lower on the gun. Now the hopper always detects paint and doesn't continue spinning even when I am not shooting.

To cut the feedneck i used a small hacksaw and taped the feedneck with masking tape to prevent it from cracking.

This guide could be used on other hoppers but is made for the egg. I do not take responsibility for anyone who ruins their feedneck doing this.

If people like it you are welcome to sticky thiss!

No. That is not the point of his post. Every gun has different lengths of their feedneck and this allows differing amounts of paintballs into the stack. An Angels stack is longer than that of a Shocker. This can cause the hopper to continue to put force on the stack even when you are not shooting.

Yeah thats right. The paint stack really depends on what kind of marker you are using and what size your feedneck is.

I did the same to my halo. I am very happy that I own the egg. The halo is great but whenever I run into problems with the halo, the egg just keep spinnin'.
Is already stated, this could be used for any hopper with eyes.

I just wanted to reply to the guy and since I made it I also tried it on a Halo so I just wanted to tell that it works for that too.

well of obvisouly it'd work with any vision loader. The reason why I posted was to say that you shouldn't up old threads as stated in the rules. The person even stated that it'd work with more then just eggs.
