Talking my money solving plan!

hey
as some of you may know from my previous post "PPS price blues" i dont have enough money for a blazer or any other palmer's gun. so i made my self a lil' plan. im gonna buy a VSC phantom with all the upgrades i want($250 at this time) and considering that a Phantom being a pump does not use as many paintballs or as much co2 as any semi. so in the long run this will save me money and keep paintball alive and fun for me until i have enough for a nice Palmer. i may have to wait till im 15(one year) to be able to get close to affording the type of Blazer i want but i know it will be worth the wait. i will also make it easier by buying the accesories i will want for the blazer(4+1 and remote along w/ 14-20 oz co2) each time i get allowance. so i will have a LOVELY blazer in a year. now then tell me how this sounds,
1 nickle plated blazer with 11" barrell,
2 male vertical stabilizer w/ remote hose running to co2,
.45? or pro touch?(which one is better? i know i want a double trigger with finger guard chopped off)(i know many palmers fans do not like that, the double trigger and so on i mean but could someone tell me why you all dont like it? i mean i think it would fire faster).
3 on the nameplate thingy i'd put some nice name(what would u name ur baby?)
4 a nice revy prolly 12 volt at first the richochet.
5. TLC
thanks
my email is koreatkd14@aol.com
also how much ould that setup cost?

Well, faster, no ... maybe more room for the fingers, blah blah blah ...

BUT

It's tournament illegal to NOT have a trigger guard. Although, another point of view is you may never want to do tournaments, or the field(s) you go to don't bother about trigger guards. My opinion, they should be there, always.

Definatly get the double trigger 45 frame, I've had the Pro touch double trigger upgraded to the 45 frame. It puts the tention spring directly on the sear to give you the shortest trigger pull possible and it takes out all the side to side slop.
My protouch was verry good short and crisp but no wear near the 45 frame. The first time I fired a 45 it was so orgasmic. It is one of the sexiest non-electric-triggers I have ever fired. It will definatly out run the majority of cocker swing triggers on the market. Palmer and Benchmark know how to do it.
As a side note make sure to get the delrin bolt, it reduces friction in the cycling of the gun making it possible to cycle the gun faster. It lacks the front o ring and this is where the friction is reduced. Hope that helped.

you know. a New PGP is like 80 bucks. Why waste 250 on a Phantom? save the money and get a PGP. You can get your Blazer even faster that way.

also. if you are going to run a remote. a 20oz would make more sense than anything smaller. think about it. You might notice the few ounces of weight from 12-20oz tanks in an on-gun set up. but hanging off your back, you won't notice a thing.
and If I was you, I'd look at the Redz packs with Tank holsters and vertical tubes. a normal 4+1 sticks way out from your sides. just something to think about.

go bag groceries. I know you don't want to do it. But do it until you turn 16 and can drive to other places where you can work. mow lawns..... wash cars for your neighbors.... it's not hard to find ways to make money if you really look around

-Tempest
just shoot less. maybe buy a pump

one thing I do is keep a few envelopes that are for specific things.

I have an envelope for money to play, a paintball gear envelope, and a non paintball envelope. I put $20-$30 in each envelope out of big paychecks, and the rest is kept in my wallet for emergencies and impulse buying.

that's a really good way to save money, you just have to force yourself to not spend any money from the envelopes for things that they're not for.

a blazer like the one you want:

basic black Blazer R/F body with nickel highlights - $450
engraved name 10 letters max - $40
11 in. ported nickel barrel - $39 + 25
.45 Double Trigger Frame - $95 (nickel plated, add $25)
Male Inline ASA "STB" Stabilizer - $95
Remote Hose Hookup - $30
20 Oz C02 Tank - $25 (set to gun w/ anti-syphon: $50)

would cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $750.oo including Tax

My new Blazer on order right now:

basic black Blazer R/F body NO highlights
12 in. non-ported brass barrel
.45 Double trigger Frame
Male Inline ASA "STB" Stabilizer

Cost me $637.35 including tax

since it takes them 4-6 weeks to make a blazer from ground up i will be going up and adding new parts and upgrades while they build it when i get more money...like barrel porting on a 12 inch barrel, a sight hood, a Taso Drop w/ on/off maybe and a new bolt and nickel highlights, but that's just gravy on an already awesome gun...
