I would stick with clear, and from paintball experience I'm sure they fog in the rain.

The metallic ones look absolutely badass, but at my high school they wouldn't let us have anything other than clear.

well considereing most highschool games are played on friday nights i wouldnt get a tinted one.
if your concerned about getting poked in the eye just get a better facemask. i personally think visors are a bad idea unless you have a game helmet or if you are going to change the visor often.

not totally true. you can wear one as long as u have a doctors note. most doctors will write one for u. my math teacher is a ref and we had a conversation about it

Last year for my final year of midget I had a tinted one, but with sweat and rain and breath it was always fogged. I honestly dont think its worth it for the money, and definately DO NOT get the one you secure with zipties. Mine snapped in half. If you get one, go for the ZLeader ones. Only set you back about $20, and do the job great.
If youre worried about eye pokes, just get a facemask with a tighter eye slit than you have from your highschool.

The mirrored ones that some of the miami players have are the most badass helmets I've ever seen.

I would get one. I hate the idea of ANYTHING near my eyes.

Yeah, those miami ones look awesome. The reason you can't have a tinted one in high school is so if you get injured, they can check for a concussion. I don't really need a visor, though, because I only play WR and special teams.
