8 inch model 98 barrel?

i have been playing with my 12" teardrop barrel for a long time now, and this weekend i forgot it at my moms house, so i tried this thunderpig barrel my friend got on ebay for 12$....that was the worst barrel i had ever shot. so i put on my stock 8" tippmann barrel. playing a whole day with that really made me want to get a short after market barrel. does anywhere sell 8" barrels.....does like CP or J&J make barrels this small? i have seen 10" barrels, but i really want a 8" but i cant find one anywhere. the tippmann stock barrel didnt really seem ALL that bad, i didnt break any balls, but it wassnt accurate really. if you know of anywhere selling an 8" barrel, please let me know.

thanks

Polish the stock barrel. If done right it works pretty good.

You can get 10" barrels from CP that work really nice. If you really wanna an 8" I've seen them from Boa and from Dye.

Well, I use valve lapping compound on a 12 ga. swab. Chuck a cleaning rod up in a drill and screw the swab on the end. Run the drill full speed up and down the bore until it's smooth and shiny. I finnish it up with Mother mag polish on a rag over the swab.

Makes the barrel smooth and shiny.

Chris.... it's actually 8", and it's the BOA. You have to e-mail/call them and have them custom make one.

Or if you want, just get the 10" ones.

only problem with polising the stock barrel is stopping the oxidation... without being able to anodize the finish will keep reverting to original finish. definaly look into the BOAs they are Excelent barrels.. definaly worth the money IMHO

well depends on if you can justfy the $30 price difference.. in my opinoin the BOA is a better barrel.. the tolerances are tighter, bore more consistant and they shoot clean better.. but again comes back to if its worth the extra money to ya.. personaly i like the snake bite proting a bit better.. mainly i cause i dont like alot of porting and its slightly more gas efficent.. mostly the difference is just noise.. the express will obviously be quieter due to the full length porting.
