i am dead sore!! wrestling thread

well today was our second day of pratice and today was conditioning! yesterday we ran 3 miles and did or weight lifting but today we did much much more. so heres what we did today:

ran 2 laps .2 miles
stretched
2 sets of 20 gorilla jumps
2 sets of 20 frog jumps
2 sets of 20 of those like toe touch things
100 push ups
100 sit ups
120 super man things where u lie on ur stomach and pull ur legs and chest up at the same time
200 yards of crab crawling
200 yards of lunges (hands on your head)
200 yards of duck waddling where your but has to be lower than your knees(harder than it sounds)
200 yards of wheel barrel runs
100 upside down pushups (sum1 holds your feet out in front of their face so your upside down)
water break sorta just ppl running to the fountains before we go outside
then we ran our football stadium steps where we did this (huge stadium)
but before we get to the stadium we:
1/4 mile run there
then at the stadium
10 cycles of buddy carries
10 cycles of sprints
10 cycles of hopping up all 70 stairs 1 by 1
10 cycles of skipping a step
and 25 cycles of just running them
1/4 mile run back
water break till every1 gets to the fieldhouse again
10 laps(1 mile) sprinting the straigt aways jogging curves, but no1 sprints except for the last lap.

my arms were a little sore from yesterday but the pushups killed them and my legs are sooooo dead right now.

our coach alwayz says we gotta push harder than every other team and if we slack then were just as equal.

we had 8 guys go to state last year and we should have more this year.

just today i lost 7 lbs

share your hardships boys

you didn't lose 7 lbs today. 7 lbs of water weight does not mean you lost 7 lbs.

who cares that is still counted on the scales. maybe u should have been in shape and trained all year instead of paying it all back at once

i did lose 7 pounds its common to lose 12 or more sometimes. some guys dress in winter clothes just to drop to their weight class.

no need to train year round pratice doesnt start for another 3-4 weeks. this is conditioning its not mandatory but if you dont you'll be screwed come the season.

when i weighed myself after i got home and ate and rehydrated i all together lose 3 pounds. i lose around 6-10 lbs a week.

most weight you lose while doing this is water weight bc we sweat so much.

i cant wait to see how much fun running will be for my sore self tomorrow

Today and yesterday we had to run for our eligibility report from last week. Something like 8 F's, a ton of D's. Only one guy was ineligible, but luckily only ineligible for the bye week. We ran what we call squares, its basically a huge 40yd. square. You sprint, then karoake, then backpeddle, then bear crawl. We had 14 yesterday and 12 today. For football.

Ive been told I would be a good wrestler but Im too fat.

You would not think wrestling is gay if you went through a week of practice. And you cant even compare a footbal practice to a wresling practice.

Sweaty men groping each other in scantily clad suits is homosexual in my book.

Calling wrestling gay is one of the most immature statements you can make. It's the toughest 6 minutes in sports and its the only true individual sport. You can't blame anyone but youself. And what's gay about fighting. Wrestling is fighting without punching/kicking.

Because its gay, You keep hugging eachother and NOT punching eachother.

Boxing should be a school sport. Boxing owns the crap out of wrestling.
