I couldn't agree with you more. My Wife and I were walking trying to get to some of the fields in the back (Angel,JT) and next thing we know we're right in the middle of the Player's area (Pits) talking with Mapp Chimm and some other Pros. I was like WTF anyone can just walk right in, security was a joke and the layout is even a bigger joke. Parking was $10.00 which is alright I can afford it but if you were going to the Auto show on the other side of the Stadium it's Free
Prices are waay too high on most items. Example: The guys at the Hybrid Booth wanted to charge me $55.00 for a Shocker Bolt guide
when the guy said that I laughed at him and walked away. Dye kept me waiting all freaking day for my tank to get repaired and when I picked it up they told me they couldn't repair it. I was like "couldn't you have told me that Six hours ago or during one of the Four times I came back to check on it" snatched my tank from Eric Roberts and walked away.
Overall it's not all that. I did meet some Awesome people from Hawaii KND, Big props to them for coming over the lake and playing their first real tourney.

I agree with you kaz, but a big part of going to these events is to see the vendors and all the new products.

Altough you needed pit wrist bands to get into the place, my friends and I snuck in anyways and hung out with New England Hurricanes and saw Ollie Lang and Arsenal and Joy Division, all pretty cool.

The Dye booth was big, but also expensive. The only deal i got there was a shirt for 10$. Protos were 750$, which is 50$ above internet price.

The empire booth I thought was the most impressive, they had everything there, from pod packs, full gear, guns, hoppers, shirts, everything.

The JT/WGP boot was pretty cool, they had some hot girls that signed posters, but all they showed were Karni's.

The food is rediculously priced, if you are planning on still going sunday, bring some sandiches. It's 5 dollars for a burger, or 7 dollars for a tuna sandwich. And water is 3 dollars.

Overall I wasn't very impressed with this event, and I won't be going next year.

The people who run pure promotions work for WDP. WDP has an office in Huntington beach...hey look, that's the same office as the NPPL. Ged Green, owner of WDP is the dude who fronts the cash to make the NPPL work, and put on a great show.

WDP has kinda "split" the people that work for pure promotions and wdp in two, but basically they are one and the same. There seems to be an invisible line of seperation between wdp and pure promotions, but that's mainly so a lot of people don't accuse the wdp guys of calling the shots, but that's basically the way it is.

Not that WDP is doing a bad job, but I just wanted to point out how things really are.

You cannot get into the pits unless you are an athlete. At least I got stopped when I tried to walk past the "City Events" guy.

and its not really like it's a big deal that WDP owns the NPPL....i mean...besides SD, how long has it been since an angel team was in the finals...let alone winning an event

though, i could be wrong and avalanche may have been in the finals when under the new wdp contract...im just not so sure
