We now have a rental fleet of 100 ULE mags with level 10 bolt kits on. We also rent them with 12" Dye barrels and crossfire 3000 tanks. In almost 9 months of renting the mags I have changed 1 oring for about 30 guns. These guns are a bigger initial investment than tippmans 98c but we have bought and used 200 tippmans in the past 4 years prior to this. The mag works out to buying 2 tippmans 1 bolt, 1 sear, and 1 powertube. Consider that with the 98c I go through in one year 1 bolt, 2 sears, and 2 powertubes, the mags will become a better buy in 20 months.
PLUS You would not believe the amount of time saved changing one oring versus disassembling a 98c. It takes me less than 3 minutes per mag to change the power tube oring. Versus 12 min to change a power tube, relube and put the 98c back together with all those allen heads scews.

Can someone point be to a link of these PMIpiranha Field rental guns. I cant find them ANYWHERE

Aswell I have an offer from someone for 10 98 customs,10 loaders, 10 9oz co2 tanks for 85$USD + 1/2 shipping. That puts us WAY over our budget and these guns have been used for about a year on a field and have paint chipping and look horrible but are in great working condition. Would this be a good buy?

10 tippmanns, loaders, and tanks altogether for $85 or $85 for each... If altogether, that's a really sweet buy, buy if it's for each, no.

Ok, I work at a fairly big field, we have almost 700 rentals in our fleet, all Tippman 98 customs. We sware by them, customers don't respect them much, and they really don't need to...we have had people submerse them in water and mud, a quick clean and they worked again. Easy to maintain, we have had the ones from when we opened about 8 yrs ago, and they still work fine, the biggest thing that goes wrong on them is the sear and they are real cheap. They are great rental guns, and if there is a sale out there for em, get em, they kick *** for rental guns...just my 2 cents...

hhmm, its between the PMI Piranha (I recently found reviews on them and alot of people sware by them becuase they are faster to shoot) Only problem is I have never shot one. I used to own a tippmann 98 custom (still do, just waiting to have a son I can teach to paintball with it ) and I admit they are awsome, and virtually unbreakable. Only problem. If I go with tippmanns I will be stuck with a Max of 6 guns due to budget. What Im thinking is purchase PMI's for now and next spring when we begin running again, depending on our customer volume, purchase tippmanns. Thanks for all the advice guys!

Ah man, the winter here is the biggest time of the year, down here, but yea I think I messed up with that 700 rental gun thing lol I meant to say more in the 300-400 range. In the winter on a good day we can get a lot of people...somewhere in the same range...

LOL Kozie, lucky you. Its hard to play paintball up here in the winter, only with air. CO2 tends to freeze when it gets shot out of the gun. Very funny actually, seeing droplets follow behind the ball, and then the ball bounces when it hits someone from point blank. Well not that cold, but ya get the picture

if you have the cash ions might not be a bad idea.

--edit--

or wraths cause those are extremely easy to maintain. about 2 minutes to do a complete breakdown and only a few moving parts.

We rent out 20oz with the guns and the new cheap v-force masks, then ones made all out of rubber, people seem to like them, and they make for a good cheap rental mask...
